“Terrible food”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2012

My husband and I had one of their 12 dish Thali lunches each. We were using a Groupon Voucher and was assured we would not be treated any different. Well we ended up with 5 dishes on one plate and 6 on the other. After complaining we got an extra dish of gloppy pink custard and some greasy bread. We were told that they had run out of pakora and samosas so we could have another veg dish. We said OK but that never materalised and when we ask our waitress she just stared at us and walked away. Also the offer was any drink of our choice, the manager/owner said we could only have Coke but he had run out so we could have tea. We agreed (as prefer tea to coke anyway) but that never came either. The dishes that did turn up were scooped up out of the buffet and were luke warm at best. The picture on their promotional material looks nothing like the food we were given. I actually felt sorry for the waiting staff as they were running around being barked at by the manager/owner. Apart from shouting his orders, the manager/owner took the money and then ate his lunch which was freshly cooked for him and looked like his promotional photos, nothing like the dishes being served to his customers, whether they were ordering set lunches, buffet or A la carte. Granted our lunch was cheap but if it's not edible and not what was advertised then it doesn't matter how much it costs - it's wrong. We will not be going back and will not be recommending it to our friends. And going by the comments of the other customers in the place at the same time as us - I doubt they will either.

“Great halal food in a central location”

Great food but strange location. Once you get to time square and the road which this restaurant is on make sure you look up as its on thr first or second floor above a series of other shops!

“Nice cosy corner in the busy Russell Street”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2012

It was not so easy to spot this restaurant, as it is on the 2nd Level of the Percival House. But if you are lucky, you might find a man holding a big sign board advertising the Restaurant. Ask him and he will direct you up to the restaurant.

Price is not so cheap, but that's the average restaurant price.

We had the fish curry and rice.
The mango lassi is nice too.

They even provide home & office delivery.
