The garden is great. I loved it and if u like greenary so will u. It doesnt look natural because it isn't but it is still beautiful. Its connected to chi Lin nunnery. The whole tour will take about 4 hours. They also have a vegetarian restaurant inside. The food was just OK, I'm not a big fan.

We were recommended to visit Nan Lian and we were not disappointed. The gardens are attached to the Nan Lian Monestry and it gave us a couple of hours relaxation and enjoyment. A short ride to Diamond Hill Station on the MTR from Kowloon or a 20 minute taxi ride.

This little gem of a place is a must visit when in Hong Kong. You can easily get to it via the MTR and it's about 4-5 minutes slow walk from the station.

When we crossed the road and were greeted by the gates we were not too sure what to make of it as it's just off a busy road. However the further we got into this place though the more we felt calm and relaxed.

The garden layout is very beautiful and each way you look you get that little glimpse of old meeting new as behind the temples you can see the towering flats. It is a perfect place to unwind even if there are only a few places to properly sit and take it all in.

It is a place where the hustle and bustle of the city is slowly removed and replaced by bird song and gentle music.

It is opposite the Chi Lin Nunnery Temple so you can come here after visiting there. It is such a great place for relaxing yourself after being chaos in the city.

A great oasis of green to amble about, right across the pedestrian walkway from the Chi Lin Nunnery. Beautifully landscaped garden areas, with a walkway path all around and a central pond with large fish in them, plus a restaurant (steeply-priced). The other restaurant id behing the 'manmade' waterfall or sheet of water that adds to the charm of the place, although looking slightly fabricated. A great display of the 'all-wood' made-to-scale miniature models of Chinese ancient architecture, is the highlight. The intricate interlocking beams and rafters give an insight into the insides of all those great ancient chinese structures - even for the average 'non-technical' types among us!
