A quiet and beautifully kept oasis. Lovely trees and plants. Take a little time to visit, it's right near the subway station and nice to get away form the hectic pace and city crowds.

“If you like tree gardens and stones this is a must”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

I greatly enjoyed walking through that garden. During our visit in May we were able to observe workers on how they prune the trees back into shape.
I also love the contrasting views of the peacefulness and the sky scrapers in the back round. There is a vegetarian restaurant on the premises as well as a cafe place with some snacks and drinks. They will not allow food or drink while walking the park, except water.
The Chin Lin Nunnery is located within the garden, there you can also see some bonsai trees.
It is easy to get there, Diamond Hill MTR station (exit C2) and from there a short walk, 5 to 10 min. You will find signs pointing you in the right direction just outside of the MTR station.

“A haven in the midst of one of the busiest cities in the world”
Reviewed May 2, 2013

Having been to Hong Kong many times, we decided to visit the Garden and we were absolutely delighted that we did. It is a bit of peace in quiet in a hectic city. The topiary and design of the garden make it w worthwhile visit for admirers of eastern gardens.

“Tranquil getaway in the city”
Reviewed April 29, 2013

What a lovely place! Just 5 minutes stroll from the Diamond Hill MRT station, this is the perfect place to unwind from the bustling streets of Hong Kong. Serene and calm, with only birdsong and the sound of running water occasionally breaking the silence. We enjoyed a tasty vegetarian lunch in the nice restaurant before exploring the rest of the beautiful temple complex. A treat for the weary traveller or anyone else searching for some tranquility from the busy city life!
