“Worth a visit”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

Yes for us foreigners there are a lot of unknown names, but for those that watch HK/Chinese films now and again, it's a proverbial gold mine of the famous actors/actresses.

“great place to take photos for souvenir”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

The Avenue of the Stars is one of the stops for the compulsory day tour, if you have pre-booked your tour from a travel agency.

This Avenue is Hong Kong's version of Hollywood's Walk of Fame. The walk is just short and not worth staying for a long period as the 100+ "stars" that are featured are mostly unknown to everyone, except for a few stars like Jet Li, Maggie Cheung, Andy Lau, Chow yun Fat, Tony Leung and of course Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan.

The good about this walk is its location, on the other side is Hong Kong island, whose skyline and skyscrapers are famous iconic landmarks of Hong Kong like the HSBC building and the Hong Kong Convention Center to mention a few.

It is also expected that along with the tour guide is an assistant who will take your individual and group photos using his camera and even offer help to take a shot with your camera. Afterwards though, your photos will be printed in a porcelain plate and will be sold to you at around HK$150 - HK$180. Of course it's quite overpriced so you can haggle at HK$100 or even less. But they won't force you to buy so you can always say no.

At night, especially on weekends (Fridays and Saturdays in Hong Kong) and special holidays, this is also the place to be as the skyline of Hong Kong Island sparks with symphony of lights and music and sometimes fireworks, so do your research ahead when visiting Hong Kong as the light show might fall during your visit and its hard to miss.

“Not worth to go”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

it will be a good place if you go there just for seeing the view of the Victoria Harbour and buildings in Hong Kong Island side. To tourists from China, it is worth to go as they may know lot of Hong Kong movie stars. But as a westerners, you will not know what to do there except viewing the harbour and the buildings in Hong Kong Island side. You will be disappointed if you want to experience things in Hong Kong

“Nice Walk, Great VIew”
Reviewed October 31, 2012

Try to go on a day when not so crowded - and when the weather is nice and clear. Avoid rainy days. Bring your camera and enjoy the view of the Hong Kong side as well.
