“great location if a little cramped...”
Reviewed April 26, 2010

We stayed in two double rooms for 3 nights before heading back to the UK
It was no bother finding the Hop Inn but hadn't realised how busy and high octane Hong Kong is at all hours of the night and day....a set of ear plugs and eye mask solved any sleep issues though....small rooms but perfectly adequate-our kids loved picking out different DVDs to watch each night and reception always manned 24 hours so very safe and secure place. In the heart of the city so we walked everywhere-down to Star Ferry and Temple Street Market etc. Caught bus to Stanley which was a real different vibe to the rest of HK and we went up the Peak on the tram too but very misty up top!
Teenage daughters bought lots of 'copy' Juicy Couture bags/tracksuits etc at ladies Market where you must haggle for everything to get a good price! Hassled a bit on busy streets such as Nathan Road to buy watches/handbags/cell phones/suits but not in an agressive manner. Loads of food centres to eat high quality Chinese food nearby.

This place is in a very convenient location, just steps away from TST MTR station.

The rooms are very small, but that is to be expected for this price and location. Highly recommended for budget travellers who values affordability and convenience!

For people unfamiliar with Hongkong, do take a look at the photo of their entrance provided on their website to help you locate the place.

Good location and Wilson is a nice guy. The only thing is I'm just not use to tiny single rooms. Not recommended for claustrophobics.

This chic little hostel offers a great location, friendly staff, and about 9 cozy rooms. The inn is only a few months old so you get a fresh feel to your stay. It's near the metro and conveniently located for exploring all corners of Hong Kong. The quaint little café next door made a good complement to our stay. The staff is super friendly, and that scored major points with us as well.

I recommend this inn for your next short stay in Hong Kong.

When I saw the website of Hop Inn, what made me decide to book my stay here is the room design and the reviews. I was not disappointed. My stay in Hop Inn was great. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious enough. The bathroom was a bit small but that was fine. I traveled with 2 friends and their kid, but they stayed in another hotel. Their kid however preferred to stay in my room. I guess because of the design of the room and because my room was more spacious. She could play around and climb up and down the bed. Clean towels were provided and the room was cleaned every day. Another thing I appreciated is you can borrow a laptop from them and this comes without charge. The location was great. It was very accessible since it’s near the TST MTR Station and since it’s in TST you have the shopping district around you and you’re just a few blocks away from the Avenue of Stars, The Clock Tower and Harbour City where you can watch the Symphony of Lights.

Very good location - close to Star Ferry and Tsim Sha Tsui metro station; also the main Kowloon's shopping and market places can be reached in less than 20 minutes by walk. Very friendly, "home-style" stuff. Even the Lonely Planet's Hong Kong guidebook is free for use in Hop Inn. Our room was not big, but clean, nicely decorated, and equipped in excess of economy rate (AC, hot water shower, TV with DVD and USB playback, free Wi-Fi). We were very satisfied with stay at Hop Inn for their room rates, and may recommend them for those who seek cheap but comfortable stay in HK.
