We stayed at the Carnarvon location, and two of us shared the triple room as it was the only room left. This room has a fair amount of space and some windows, and was perfectly adequate if you're the type of who likes doing things outside rather than spending lots of time in your room. The value is great - maybe half the price of the YWCA hostel/hotels - and the room was clean and bright, with a TV as well. The beds were softer than many in China, but with metal bars at the bottom that made stretching out difficult for my 6 foot 2 inch frame. There's a nice rooftop patio and common area with free drinking water and beer available for purchase.

Access is fine - down a building entryway (not an alley as some reviews have said) to the right of the Seven Eleven store with a security guard in that entryway. Take the elevator on the right to go to the 9th floor, or take the elevator on the left to the 8th floor and walk up one floor. The Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station is 5 minutes walk away.

Room Tip: The triple room is still very reasonable for two people (two bunk beds and one separate single bed) and has some room to stretch.

We stayed at Hankow Rd (there is another one Carnavan Rd).

Perfect location! Less than 5mins walk to Tsim Sha Tsui MTR, if you are good in walking, you don't even need to take MTR (especially when you hate staircase). Heading north you can reach women street, temple street in... maybe 20-30mins slow pace walk. South, 5-7mins you'll reach the Victoria Harbor (which is perfect for me!)

Foods everywhere.

Staffs are surprisingly friendly and courteous (besides one particular lady whom I believe she's taking care of 12am to 7.15am shift??) that has typical notorious hongky attitude --> don't bother to smile, don't bother to recommend or comment much. If you bump into this lady, just take it as one of the 'specialty' or uniqueness of Hong Kong(as we all know this is pretty common!)

But thumbs up for the rest of the staffs!

Room consider spacious (if you know that even their hotel room also won't be very spacious then you won't complaint anymore, of course if you have thousands of ringgit to spend for a night, maybe you have a bigger room...).

I would say it will be totally quiet around 1am, but before that still not too noisy, can sleep. Water heater a bit tricky, a bit difficult to maintain at a warm level. Room has TV!

Strongly recommended for people who look at location with a decent room stay. You will not regret it :)

Stayed in Hop Inn Hankow Rd. Second time staying here. Its nice all around. Superb location. 5 minutes walk to the nearest MTR station and many choices of exits. Room is a bit small, but acceptable. Clean room, clean shower. But I couldnt get the water to be warm. Either its too cold or too hot ( Room 5 second time stay ). Staff was friendly.

If you're looking for a place just to sleep in HK and is near everything you can possibly need, this is the place.

We stayed in the Carnarvon location. Perfect location to explore Kowloon. Near to the MTR, Kowloon Park, shopping, 15 minute walk to Temple Street night market.

Rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. The common room and roof terrace are especially nice! Staff are friendly and helpful. It's a lively area with lots going on.

The hostel is right where the picture and map shows on their website, but there is no sign on the outside of the building or in the apartment building lobby. Enter the elevator on the right and go to the 9th floor.
