Generally the hotel was convenient, the staff were very helpful and it was very clean.

However, a few points to note;

One of the windows leaked causing a damp patch on the carpet. We reported it on day one but nothing was done.
The centre window was cracked. This was slightly off putting as we were on the 28th floor!
We could not get the wifi to work in the room. It worked downstairs in the lobby, but as the reception lobby is particularly small you could not sit there and use the internet.
The entrance to the hotel is very discreet which makes it hard to find even for taxi drivers! It is also on a set of traffic lights so you are dropped off around the corner at the entrance to another hotel

Room Tip: Ask for a high room backward facing as the views are amazing. We watched the Kites flying high for ages (birds of prey).

Hi Everyone,

Based on my experience whilst travelling I stayed at 6 hotels throughout Hong Kong in different districts,

I do NOT recommend staying at butterfly on Morrison if you are a light sleeper, the walls are not sound proof, you hear every little things around you that keep waking you up at night and early morning, I stayed there for 7 nights and had a bad sleep all nights, (chatter out in the hallway, construction works, noisy drains and the sound of a broken air-con)

The location is not great either, not convenient for those who want to be around stores, restaurants and other things, the shops around are not for travellers (lamp shops etc), I stayed at Butterfly on Prat in Tsim Sha Tsui shich had food and convientent stores and bars AND the MTR all around me. Also at that location (Morrison) you can not catch a taxi, you need to walk down to South Pacific hotel to catch one, the MTR is not at a FAR location, but not at a near.

The service was average compared to the other places I have stayed in Hong Kong, maybe it was the difference in language and trying to understand each other?
The cleaners did a good job though, and kept our room clean and I am not complaining about it, but other hotels have done better, we had to keep the same bedding sheets for the whole 7 nights, I mean we didn't want to ask for new sheets, we probably could of and gotten ourselves new sheets but we didn't want to be a hassle.

The rooms are liveable I did not mind that, I stayed in the 'superior room' BUT the hotel room itself - did not have as much facilities as others, scale, beer opener, milk, etc
OH, and also.. you are not going to get this view as shown on the picture on their website
I have not complained to any of the staff or hotel as this is probably out of their control anyway (construction noise, lack of facilities and location)

But I wanted to share how I found this hotel.

Please believe me, if you need a good nights rest, butterfly on Morrison will not give you that

To offer you better sleeping quality, we could have arranged another guest room for you; any amenity that is not presented in the guest room while you're in need of it, our guest services team will do their best to send it to you immediately upon request; it's truly regretful we haven't done a great job in listening and interacting with you during you stay.

Very new hotel in the heart of Causeway Bay. Rooms have great views overlooking the Happy Valley racecourse and surrounds. Walking distance to causeway bay MTR and surrounds. Rooms are a good size for HK, and with brand new fittings.

Only improvement was the reception staff could probably be a bit more efficient with their check in process

I had booked this hotel after many months of searching for a great location and price.Well BOM met the match.The service was outstanding as well as the location and room.The staff will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Definitely worth the money.

The hotel staff provided a positive experience with good service. We requested a housekeeping service in the middle of the night as our child has vomited on the bed. The staff (front desk staff as there is no housekeeping staff at night) came to our room swiftly to change our bed sheet without any displeasure or complaint.
