It's a perfect place and view to see HK, at day light on night. How to get there? You can use Bus or Skyline, all at Central Area. Try to go there early in the morning and not on public holiday or you will getting jammed at Peak.
Do not try to bring your rental car at the Peak, due parking is extremely expensive. Outside the peak, at the street it will cost u 8 HKD/hour, Inside the peak is 36 HKD/hour. But if you have alot of money, it's ur choice.
Souvenir at some shops at the peak is expensive compare to night stall market at Kowloon or Tsing Sha Shui street.
Tsui Wah Restaurant is the best choice at the peak, this public company is professional serving you, and so quick. But no pets allowed.
Madame Tussaud is the only place you have to visit, wax museum not big as Bangkok but it enough.
What can you do at the peak is only to see a HK view at 360 around, at night is much better. at day light i try to snip at other peoples apartment using a telescop around the yard at the peak ^^ hope i can see something interesting, but nothing ^^ hahaha
for you that using a skyline, u can take a picture when the sky train is going down or up.
Enjoy HK!!

We went up to the roof top of this shopping complex to catch a night view of the skyline. Comparing with The Peak, this shopping complex looks much older and run down. Plenty of shops selling HK fashion and some eateries. We were there at about 9.00pm and by then, most of the store were starting to close.

We went to the peak straight after we reached Hong Kong. It is around 4pm and the place is crowded with people. This is the 3rd time I am visiting this place as I love the night view. As we have brought the combo package, we are able to get into a shorter queue. However, the queue is still well maintained at the back but it is a mess in the front near the tram area. People is pushing and squeezing into the tram. After much pushing and squeezing, we managed to get to the tram and reach the peak.

Million dollar view!!! It looks even gorgeous at night. There are many resturants up in the peak but most of them are high end. If you are a budget traveller, I will suggest to have a meal before going up to the peak. However, there are also budget food up there like the burger king.

The way back down using the tram is the same. Too many people queuing. However, it is still worth the time to reach the peak and enjoy this million dollar view.

The Peak, also known as Victoria Peak and Mount Austin or simply THE PEAK, is a nice way to see Hong Kong Island and Hong Kong Mainland from the top of a mountain. There are buses that can take you to and from the peak. Also there is a cable Tram. I would recommend going up by bus and coming back down by Tram. This way you get two different views of the peak. Oh, one last peace of advice. Pick a clear day to go to the peak as the smog may limit your visibility.

Typical shopping mall and nothing too spectacular .
Many floors with your expected Knick knacks.
Many were closed during our visit.
