“Pretty good place”
Reviewed December 12, 2013

I stayed here as part of a travel group before getting to New Zealand. It took them ages to get us checked in as none of our rooms were ready except for one. Overall it was a good stay, made use of the swimming pool several times - although we got told several times we weren't allowed to play ball games in there due to it being a danger, despite times when nobody else was in the pool, which was annoying to us. Food was nice at breakfast, this was part of our group booking so I don't know how much it is to buy it separately. When you leave the hotel you're on a pretty dirty grimy street so the hotel isn't in the best location. Overall it's a pretty good place.

The hotel is in a comparatively calm street with not much traffic. The hotel has all the basic amenities, good and spacious rooms, clean sarroundings..etc. However it is heavily crowded and and lobby is too small to handle such crowd. No waiting area is provided.

Selection of break fast and variety of items are much appreciated. Staff are co -operative and helpful and polite

Was here in early November after a 7 night tour of china.
Reception staff were absolutely great we had a couple of problems tour company not booking enough nights and no taxi back to airport the receptionist sorted these problems out for us very quickly and professionally
Rooms are good with a comfortable bed
If using the free shuttle bus be warned at the drop off pick up point in middle road you will see a display off every one for themselves my wife was hit hard in the back so when I pushed the bloke he did not like it and started but as I was a bloke he soon backed down this was the worse we experienced but we did see as bad to others just be warned it seemed to us people were using the bus who were not staying at the hotel this could be ad voided by the hotel giving out tickets
All in all not a bad hotel if off the beaten track

I'm currently here we'll be checking out this Nov 27
19th fl. Harbour Club room
The Hotel itself is not that bad, although there are no waiting room at the lobby
So you have to wait standing, the seats available is for the Cafe customers
Most of the time the lobby is crowded so you'll need to squeeze in to get thru

The Room is clean with tub no complains about that
Smoking and Non-Smoking room is available

The Hotel is located at the Districts residential Area THOSE WHOSE NOT USEd To MINGLING W/THE LOCALS and seeing streets vendors and local / grocery shops
THIS IS NoT THe Best Hotel for YOU

But for Me I like the way it is, it gives you the local feel of the country
Unlike the other hotels that I've been to whenever I travel here at HK
As for the Internet Connection you'd have to pay HKD$120 for a 24 hr connection
The Outdoor pool is good
Also the Cafés
But of course if you're looking for something cheaper there's always a local eatery outside the hotel

There's a 7 eleven convenient store around the Block, Watsons is also near by just a 5 minute walk tops by foot
We love buying Fresh Fruits at the local shops no need to go at reclamation street near yau ma tei if I'm not mistaken
There's a lot of shops to see if only others will give it a chance
The prices is not that different when you go buy something at Temple St. Night Market

The nearest hotel would be MTR Hunghom Station,
10 min away by car
A lot more by foot I recommend to ride the Shuttle Bus instead

The Hotels FREE shuttle bus comes and go at least 2 to 3 times an hour
That'll bring you to Tsim Sha Tsui, Hunghom etc.

Overall it's a good Hotel and location depending on what category the customer will be looking for

I had visited this hotel in the end of December 12, I had joined a colleague of mine who was in a long term assignment in HK. The room was at top most floor of hotel with an amazing view including an high rise building. The room was provided with a Kitchenette, huge refrigerator which was very well placed inside the room like a wardrobe. There was induction cook top along with some essential kitchen items such as utensils, knife, bowls, cups with and electric chimney. I was so happy seeing all these amenities as it felt like an home away from home. The room all together was a pleasant experience and hats off to the house keeping for keeping the room in such a good shape in-spite of cooking. The hotel provides an amazing option for pick and drop facility at different points in the city at a designated time.

cannot say its a bad looking hotel in and out but can definately say i am shocked to see others say its value for money, everything little thing you get costs extra for example: a $25 AUD set lunch only comes with a room temperature water if you want something else thats extra. And to top it off if you book through bookings.com etc they charge you your room cost when you arrive, as well as charging your card the day before you arrive so you are now $740 out of pocket for atleast 10 days.... near impossible to get to hong kong island too taxis dont want to take you due to traffic.. so good luck with the family on public transport... would not stay here again nor reccomend.

Though this may be against general perception, I thought the hotel's location was great because it's very near to Mongkok and Tshim Tsa Tsui, which are the main markets in Hong Kong. That being said, I liked the hotel. The room is comfy, though small. The bathroom is really tiny and complex. The room is good enough to stay without any complaint. I especially liked the breakfast at Cafe 8 degrees and their buffet selection is great although repetitive. We had the same breakfast buffet for 3 straight days, which was dissapointing. The thing that I hated the most was that there is no free wifi. Expected it from a four star hotel and the price for wifi is outrageous. The room service is quick and the swimming pool is nice and tidy. The delayed our check in by an hour and we had no option but to stand in the overcrowded lobby. So I guess, the management can be better. That apart, I still liked the stay and would still recommend this to people who want to go with a budget friendly option.
