Have a nice room with Harbour City View, room and hotel is clean, staff provided an friendly service and helpful. Convenience to connect to various location around Hong Kong by the short walk to University Station.

Travel between airport to the hotel by taxi approximately 30 minutes and may cost about HK$ 280.-

What can I say about this hotel!!!Just brilliant!!!Fantastic room with pool view...Every evening we spent couple of hours there to relax.Next to the pool there is also a jacuzzi!!!It has fantastic views to the mountains..!Convenient location, near metro station.Last day we had to had to wait a couple of hours to catch our flight and they let us use the pool and facilities in order to have a shower and change clothes!!!I would stay there for sure again!!!

So far it was the best Hotel I´ve stayed in Hong Kong. Overall very friendly staff and also the Hotel restaurants offering a very good quality of different dishes. For me it was surprising and the price level is compared to others. The hotel is close to the East Line MTR station, University.

The Hyatt Regency is the 7th hotel I have stayed in HK, the 3rd in Sha Tin, it is certainly the best, less than 2 years old, very well appointed, right next to University station, with very convenient complimentry bus service to the Science and Technology Park. Thus if visiting the S&T Park, it is excellent. Brilliant value compared to staying on the Island or in TST.

My husband had a conference at the Hong Kong Institute and this was one of the hotels recommended due to its location, which was very convenient for the shuttle to the university. It is located in Sha Tin, the new territories, which is a ways from Kowloon and Hong Kong. But with the MTR (subway) right next door, it was convenient to get to all points in Hong Kong. One day, I bought a tourist pass which was good for unlimited travel on the MTR for a 24-hour period of time. I visited the Jade Market and the Woman's market and had a fabulous shopping experience at both. Remember to fine tune your bargaining skills -- deals can be made!

We were treated to a wonderful ride by our driver who picked us up upon arrival in the Hong Kong airport. A beautiful Mercedes with two cool bottles of water. A very comfortable ride after our 16 hour flight from the U.S.! We knew from this point on, we were going to have a great experience with the hotel. First class service from beginning to end.

We had a wonderful stay in a club room on the 24th floor. A very nice facility and the staff were wonderful. I've read a few reviews that complained about the staff. We did not find these complaints to be valid for us. Every day, we were greeted with plenty of smiles and always were asked how they could help. We enjoyed a high level of customer service during our stay.

The pool area is wonderful and all facilities were top notch. Our favorite part of the day was enjoying breakfast in the club lounge every morning. Beautiful views and again, wonderful staff. We also enjoyed the evening snacks in the lounge.

Our room was spacious and well equipped. The bed was comfy and we got excellent rest after our busy days. The bathroom had a separate spa tub, shower and separate toilet area. It was a lovely place to call home for our six-night stay.

We did the buffet dinner one night, which was excellent. Our first night, we got in too late to enjoy so we had a meal in the ala carte lounge. Good, but very expensive. It is true that nothing else, other than the subway stop, is around the hotel -- so they have you captive for dining opportunities. I had a dinner at Sha Tin 18 one night -- wanted so to be impressed but was not. Dinner was ok, service not so good and for $100 for just myself, I guess my expectations were too great to meet. This was truly the only negative of our stay.

I would recommend the Hyatt Sha Tin without reservation -- a good value and fantastic staff are the highlights.

Hong Kong hotel prices have increased substantially over the last ten years, so I decided to look at alternatives. I found the Hyatt, Sha Tin to be an excellent choice. About a 20-30 minute MTR ride/walk from Kowloon, or you can take a shuttle bus.

The hotel is in excellent condition, and the staff was well trained and very attentive. I stayed on the club level and recommend this for the amenities and view.

Also, an excellent place to stay for transitioning to the mainland.
