Description: A late-night restaurant and bar serving Nikkei cuisine in the atmosphere of a buzzing izakaya, where everyone is welcome under one roof to drink, eat, relax and let loose. TokyoLima invites you to escape and lose track of time with great drinks, food and company. Bringing a casual approach to Nikkei cuisine, TokyoLima serves up a menu that balances the heat of Peru with the delicate flavours of Japan. Dating back over 100 years, Nikkei cuisine originates from Peru’s large Japanese population and is best described as the melding of both cultures. Like a match made in heaven, Nikkei brings together Japan’s love for fresh seafood and fresh, delicate flavours with the punchy heat and colourful zest of Peru.

It’s been a while since we’ve been back but happy to say it’s still great. Food is creative and delicious and so are the cocktails. Service is top notch and professional. We never leave without ordering desserts. Keep up the good work.

The menu is a combination of Japan and Peru and is delicious. Service is excellent, in English as well as in Spanish. A good place to visit when you are in Hong Kong.

I’ve been here a few times before and think the weird but wonderful fusion thing works very well. The unlimited ceviche for brunch is a huge plus and all the food is great.

Today they went the extra mile with a special Father’s Day dish (husband loved it), a photo for each table which came with a lovely Father’s Day card, a gift for all dads, and a sweet bag for each child. These extra touches really made our meal.

The staff were also lovely, each one of them.

Can’t wait to return!

HK has a number of very good brunch menus and while Tokyolima’s selection is not as broad as some, it makes up for it in terms of quality and interest. The fusion theme works in this place.
We tried the Sunday brunch and the starters included possibly the most amazing karaage chicken that I’ve had outside of Japan. The salad was also very good.
The ceviche bar had a few interesting choices and to me was the most fusion part of the meal in terms of the two cuisines coming together.
For mains we had the chicken which was perfectly prepared and tender through and the beef which was also very nicely done.
Dessert bar allowed us a couple of sweet moments before we finished up. Very satisfied with the meal.
An extra note is that this place has a good play area for children.
Free flow can be added for HK$180.
The decor is hip and the staff were excellent.
Crowd was a mix of expats and locals and was full for Sunday brunch so would recommend that you book ahead.
Definitely give this place a try.

A stylish, hip and vibrant place. Wait staff were attentive, and service was sincere and swift. The picanha was excellent, and comes with an interesting twist, in the form of edamame-based hummus. The tuna tartare with watermelon was also very tasty.
