So let me start out by saying that Hong Kong is VERY expensive and these rooms are very cheap. That being said there is a reason. This hostel in located in Chungking Mansion on Nathan street. If you are unfamiliar with how mansions in asia work, then this will be a shock to you. It is located in a much larger building that is broken into towers with close to 20 floors. You enter on the ground floor and have to go through crowds of people and businesses to get to the elevator for your tower. This includes many people trying to solicite or sell many different things to you. The chungking mansion in particular is infamous for its age and criminal activity. Keeping this in mind, if you are aware of your surrounding and smart, you will be fine. The guesthouse staff is fine, not overly kind but fine. They would commonly not be at the front desk but the rooms were clean and had a place to lay your head. They are very small and a bit sterile feeling and there is only a tiny window with no view. It does have wifi and some AC. I would not reconmend this hotel to any families with children or to women traveling alone (which I was). All in all though you'll be fine if you aren't dumb.

Room Tip: No view to be had

First, I could say its location is great near shopping mall, at the MTR tsim sha tsui station, clean room and cheap.

For the con: bad staffs, rude and not helpful. Building entrance is terrible, full of people who will approach to you all the time, Bad smell and singing at night. Lucky that we do not care but not recommend for who might come with family or only girls gang.

The Lucky hostel one of the little hotel on Nathan road in Kowloon .. the hotel located on 13th floor of an apartment building.. the lift is so small.. the room is so small but very clean and near the MTR station and ladies market..
The hotel is very cheap we stay 2 nights for 50 HKD.. the owner is nice but he can't speak English.
The hotel has good Wifi connection and free water.
To get the hotel from the airport we can take bus A21 to Argyle Center and walk about 50mtr

Room Tip: choose double room

Great room if your on a budget, what can I say, you get what you pay for...

Right on Nathan Road, the location was great... the food all over was excellent, the MRT is really easy to use. Awesome experience overall...

I liked that Lucky Hostel doesn't requirement you to pre-pay but I didn't like that they had to transfer us to another hostel for the first night just because we arrived around 8PM (which I already informed them a month before our flight). It is difficult to unpack the first night and transfer early in the morning, what a hassle. The rooms we stayed in were small (the first one was even better than the second room), which was expected. Fast wifi, AC is ok, there's free drinking water. You will be asked for a 100 HKD key deposit, make sure to keep your receipt as they will not give you back the 100 HKD without it. Sad part was we had to change our schedule due to the unpacking of our luggage and then transferring to another building the day after.
