“Worst place I have ever had the misfortune to eat at”
Reviewed May 19, 2011

The food at this place was perhaps the worst I have ever had. When we complained, the waitress seemed relaxed about our concerns and offered no form of kind words or sympathy with what we were trying to say. I have lived and worked all around the world and this was the worst place I have ever had the misfortune to visit and perhaps worst still try and eat at!

“Very typical German food in anice atmopshere”
Reviewed October 30, 2010

The German food is excellent and the atmosphere as well. Can be quite crowded. Prices are OK for Hong Kong. A bit difficult to find in a jungle of small streets.

“Nice atmosphere, good service and cheerful”
Reviewed January 21, 2010

I had a one night stop-over in Hong Kong and for some reason felt like European food despite the wonderful selection of Asian food all around my hotel.
Notwithstanding the name there is no actual beer garden and you have to drink inside but there is a good selection of European beers
The restaurant is on the street level and very easy to find, with (low key) neon lights and a menu at the door.
I had the lamb chops which were delicious and went down ever better with a refreshing pint of German Beer (Note the specials on the chalk board menu outside were not available!)
Seemed to cater for an expat crowd, European tourists (and the local bar fly perched in the corner) and a few locals eager to try something a bit different
Overall very welcoming and comfortable for the solo traveller
