“Sizzling Sichuan Prawns”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2014

The Red Pepper is a longtime Causeway Bay favorite and their Sizzling Sichuan Prawns are excellent and not to be missed. The place is very popular with the foreign crowd. The eggplant in hot garlic sauce is another favorite. Always extremely crowded on the Sevens weekend, so book well in advance. The place is a must visit! And not to be missed!!

Especially, chilly shrimp is so good.
But I think they're little expensive.

“Balanced and spice dishes”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2014

I enjoyed a lovely sichuan meal unfortunately on able to taste 4 dishes between the 2 of us. Starting with a hot soup, chicken with cashes and peppers, beef with black bean sauce, finishing with toffied bananas finished at the table. Each dish had the right balance of spice and heat and was quite large. The meat dishes had good quantities of meat, not padded out with accompaniments.
Enjoyed the food and would return.

“Spicy enough, consistent quality, eccelent service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2014

Not travelling to HK as much as before. A visit last month again showed this spicy refuge to be a standing favourite. The Sizzling Sichuan Prawns are almost a signature dish here, but look beyond and fins Sour and Pepper Soup, Fried Squid with hot garlic sauce, Boied Spicy Sliced Beef and the Fried Garoupa, which by itself merits an own review. Never have had to send anything out, from more than a dozen visits, seen one dish sent out as customer overrated tolerance for spiciness. This inciden. was handled quite and elegant by the polite & attentive w/w . As Arnold used to say: I'll be back...

“Huge helpings”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2014

Excellent food. You can order small or medium helpings but the medium size are enormous and too much for 2 people. Stick with small. Very helpful staff.
