For those of you whom have heard of Benihana, Wa San Mai is the upscale version of that. In fact, it may not even be fairly compared given the extreme difference in quality and service. Instead of your chef focusing on making you onion volcanoes and juggling shrimp around the teppanyaki table, Wa San Mai focuses on high quality and fresh ingredients. The food served here was still "alive" when brought to your table and it doesn't get fresher than that. We ordered the "Abalone set" (about USD$170) everything served was phenomenal and highly recommended.
