“Fake Thai Food - maybe works for the locals!”
Reviewed February 7, 2012

This place is the worst thai food i have ever had anywhere! I have eaten at umpteen number fo resteraunts in Hong Kong and all over the world but this by far is the worst. The reason I say its worst is that it does not taste like thai food! Now there are a numebr fo variants when it comes to Thai food - some versions have thick gravies (lots of coconut milk), some have thin gravies (more lighteer and mostly more pungant) etc. etc. but this one was nowhere, it was in kins of no man's land.

Food - We had ordered the most basic Thai food - papaya sald, steamed rice, green curry and fired rice (thai stayle non spicey for my kid) and a couple of soft drinks. All 3 dishes were a disater - the curry had no charachter, the papaya salsd was not crisp (no peanuts), the fried rice was more chinese than thai!

Value - We paid almost HKD400 (USD130), which is way too much for teh quality of food

Service - Ver y very average, our food was served in parts eventhiough we requested it to be served together. Our son's fried rice was delivered almost after 15 mins of the rest of the food. Atrocoius!

Ambience - It is located near SoHO and I mean not the bustling part, where the "it" reseraunts are, and for the for the prices they charge are premium and I do not understand why?

Overall - There are a host of great Thai places in Hong Kong - Lil Siam and Phukets being the ones within 200 metres walking distance of this place in the nice part of Soho, so just go somehwere else. As I said the only people who may like this place are local people who like food without spice and no charachter.

“Decent food and quiet ambiance”
Reviewed December 11, 2011

This place is a nice break from your typical noisy Chinese restaurant in that area.
I had the green curry and the food was decent enough. Tasty but not thick enough for my taste. Nice flavor and the right amount of spiciness.
I also order a fresh coconut. it was fresh but far from being young and the flesh was virtually impossible to get/scrape.
Proficiency in English was very limited.
If that matters they have a super fast WiFi connection! :-)

Suggest to order king prawns in young coconut! The portion was huge and really tasty!

“Really Bad Thai Food”
Reviewed May 21, 2009

This restauant is in a good location near Central. However, the food was not good at all. The restaurant also seemed a little dirty. There are many other better Thai Restaurants in the area. The service was good though.
