We stopped by Shake 'em Buns for a round of burgers recently and were quite pleased with this restaurant, which probably is best described as a sort-of burger shake, in Central. Will definitely return for another burger fix.

We tried the 'Cushin for the Pushin' cheeseburgers combos (HK$80), which were very enjoyable. Patty was not grade-A beef but it was good enough, fresh lettuce and tomato and buns that were firm but soft. Plenty of sauces and tabasco varieties at each table as well. The burgers looked good and tasted great. Taken with a generous portion of well-made, thick cut fries, this was a good burger meal (rating 3.75 of 5).

We choose (+HK$22) shakes, which were also very much enjoyed. Mojo Power - Vanilla shake was very good and the Creamy Cholo Love shake, which had a peanut butter and chocolate was superb. Actually, the shakes were good enough (4.5 of 5) to warrant a visit as well, even if you are not interested in burgers.

In the end, Shake 'Em Buns served us a classic American burger, fries and shake meal that was very much enjoyed all the way around (rating 4 of 5). We shall return to Shake 'Em Buns and can recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting who fancies a classic American burger meal.

Sometimes you need a real burger when overseas and this place really hits the mark . I love to eat burgers which are messy as this gives the taste of it so much more. I loved the fries and after i finished my lunch around 2 i didnt need to have dinner. A good place to have a homemade style burger in a comfortable setting.

Just got into HK and needed some grease and chips before a week of heavy meetings and nothing but noodles and rice. Wandered down onto Wellington Street and stumbled into Shake 'em Buns. If you are in HK and you like burgers you MUST come here. Had the Debbie does Dallas combo - agree with previous reviews that its 'sloppy', but the taste and quality just has to be experienced. Cracking fries too, and you can get a beer and watch the street life from the bar stool. Am coming back tomorrow!

I didn't like sitting at a window bar table but the burger and shake were so good! Had Debbie Does Dallas burger and Ivana Coconut shake. The meat patty fell apart as I ate but it tasted so good that I didn't care. My husband had a burger named guitar something and it was excellent too. Blueberrie shake was not just melted ice cream... It was also really great! We will go back there for sure when we visit Hong Kong again.
