Not Charlie Sheen-winning, of course--but rather an excellent overall experience.

From the trendy decor to the digital "welcome" in the arrival floor elevators, the hotel presents the wow factor from minute one. The nice vibe carries through to the library-themed lift lobby on the guest floors and on into the room, with its soft palette and clean design. Our room had the nifty bathroom feature that allowed you to slide the floor-length mirrors closed for privacy; it also boasted a super-comfy bed, plenty of nooks for storage and a lovely view of the harbor.

We enjoyed the in-room bells and whistles, too, from the bedside lighting/shade controls to the minibar stock, iPod dock, and daily newspaper.

Our room upkeep was immaculate and all staff were friendly and helpful.

We also took advantage of the rooftop pool--such a cool way to catch some rays and/or enjoy a cocktail from 76 floors up.

For our purposes the location worked very well. The W is connected to the Elements mall and the Kowloon MTR, as well as the Airport Express line. Our outing to Lantau Island was a straight shot on the Tung Chung line; getting across to Hong Kong Island underground was just as easy; airport return was a breeze; and cabs were readily available for everything else.

We had a blast and hope to be back.

All hotels should be like this one, 4 nights stay with NO mistakes. Amazing service (light and discrete but so classy), great food quality, perfect decoration, amazing events concepts ("Wet" party at rooftop pool)... and so much more.
From now on, this will be the only place I will stay in Hong Kong and "W" is definitely my favorite hotel chain, so much above all others. Go there and you'll understand...

This hotel definitely has the WOW factor. the restaurant is amazing and the decor is chic and very modern. W Hotels differ to other major hotels because of it's chic decor which comes down to some of the smaller details as well. The pool on the 76th floor is superb and the location (above elements and MTR) makes it ideal as we were able to check in our baggage at the MTR Kowloon station which saved us doing it at the airport. This place is amazing

Views from this Hotel are great, rooms are fresh and pleasant, the dining area has the best brunch with the Alice in Wonderland theme show kitchen. Astonishing decor and pleasant employees. Wow is the right name for this place.

This hotel is full of 'wow factor'! Whether it's from the 76th floor rooftop pool or the reception area....you find yourself in awe at the decor, architecture and overall experience.

I just love the 2 days spent at this hotel. A perfect location right above Kowloon station, very handy for flight checkin (at the station) and easy access to all areas of hong kong on the underground. I would definitely stay here again for a weekend away!

Whenever I'm in Hong Kong I always stay here for many reasons. Though the location is not central or on the Hong Kong side the hotel is connected to Elements mall and the MTR Kowloon station. The mall has just about everything you need or want including brand name shops, a fabulous supermarket, multiple food options and much much more. The MTR is also extremely convenient and only takes 5-10 minutes to get to Central station.

The hotel is always busy- which is a good sign. The views of the harbor are fantastic and different. You still get the the feel of having an ocean view but you also get to see the bustling ship and cargo docks which make for a great and interesting view. One of the bests parts about the W Hong Kong is their rooftop pool. Located on the 76th floor of the hotel, the pool is to die for. Their gym is very convenient, though not the most spacious. I've been to the W Taipei and their gym is way bigger and better than W Hong Kong's.

As for the rooms, they are very comfortable and clean. Noise is kept at a minimum and service is usually prompt. I would recommend this place to anyone but the only draw back would be the location. If you have meetings or business on the Hong Kong side then I would suggest booking a hotel on the Hong Kong side for convenience reasons.

Having stayed at the W HK when it first opened a couple of years ago, I was keen to revisit to see how it was faring. When we originally stayed at the hotel, there seemed to be a bit of brand confusion and the staff seemed to be struggling with the "W" concept. This is no longer the case. The hotel has that fantastic "W" vibe and has really come into it's own.

The one thing we noticed during this stay is the exceptionally good staff. All friendly and helpful without being over-bearing. Special mention must go to Kathy at the concierge desk. She was extremely helpful in securing bar and dinner reservations and remembered me from my previous visit two years prior. Nothing was too much bother and she is a wonderful example of what quality service is all about.

On this occasion, we stayed in a cool corner room. Great amount of space, excellent layout and very comfortable fit out. The beds are extraordinarily comfortable!

Food quality in "the Kitchen" was great and I think reasonably priced. The "living room" bar also has a great ambiance with helpful staff.

The location of the hotel is the icing on the cake with easy access to kowloon station to travel either to the airport or to central.

All in all, a wonderful property and I can't wait to return.

Room Tip: Cool corner rooms give you that extra bit of space
