“At the top end of the scale”

Finding one Michelin star restaurant in a hotel is fun, but two is a bit much. This is one of the rare Michelin rated Chinese food restaurants in the world, and deservedly so. Excellent food, exquisite service, and an impressive wine-list make this an unmissable stop in any culinary tour of Hong Kong. We ordered the Beijing Duck in advance and this was inspired, as the crispy duck with delicate pancakes, and later, the minced duck with pine nuts in lettuce formed the centrepoint of the meal.
However nothing should be taken away from the kung pao prawns nor the honey flavoured pork we had as starters, nor the bird's nest dessert and icy mango which were a telling finale!

“First Class”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2013

My wife had the pleasure of dining at Lung King Heen recently. We have ate at many 1* Michelin rated restaurants, but this was our first 3*.

My wife is not the biggest fan of mushrooms, and their tasting menu was mushroom focused, so instead Edwin, the manager devised a custom tasting menu for the two of us. A mix of individual dishes and dishes to share. Each item was incredible, with the most surprising being the cold red bean soup for my dessert.

Bernard the sommelier also paired each course with wines, champagne, sparking wine and drinks. After eating many paired meals before, I can honestly say this was by far the best I have ever had.

Each member of the staff was able to anticipate needs, and were incredibly friendly. For the 3* restuarant, we have also been told it is a steal to eat there. The view at night is among the best in Hong Kong when dining.

“Only ok (for an Italian)”

I have had a lot of fantastic Chinese food in China and so I had huge expectations for this Michelin starred restaurant. I am perhaps too westerner to appreciate sophisticated Chinise cuisine. Fantastic service. Less expensive than expected.

“1st Class Food in a 1st Class Restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2013

We decided to come here for lunch on a whim based on the Tripadvisor comments and we were not disappointed. We were shown straight away to a lovely table with an amazing view of the Harbour and the Central piers. The service at the restaurant was impeccable, very friendly, attentive without being over bearing or forced.

We ordered from the dim sum menu which is not big but has enough variety for lunch. We pretty much picked everything from the menu and the dim sums were not outragiously priced as you would expect in a high end 3 Michelin starred place. (About £5-£6 for each basket).

In terms of food, I would recommend the seafood dumplings, the duck pufff, the abalone puff, and our favourite Shanghai Dumpling! My husband loves these and have them all over Asia and he said the ones here are some of the best he's had in his life! So much so, he ordered a couple of baskets straight after. I would also recommend trying some of the traditional chinese desserts done with a modern auture cuisine twist.

We loved the whole experience, good food, fast and attentive service, we were very comfortable and were not rushed, and the decor and cutleries were all very chic.

5 Stars from me!

“3 stars Dim Sim”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2013

The view was absolutely wonderful. The dim sim there was very tasty and beautifully made. We went there with a big group, and we tried almost the whole dim sim list. Each of them had distinctive tastes and shapes. That was a enjoyable lunch.
