Description: Possibly the last Chinese junk to be painstakingly handcrafted in Hong Kong, aqualuna was created using age old designs and traditional materials by an 80 year old local craftsman. Also known as “Cheung Po Tsai” in Cantonese, aqualuna is named after the infamous Cheung Chau island pirate who used to terrorize the waters. Guests are able to absorb Hong Kong’s history while enjoying the intoxicating harbour and skyline views on board. This iconic Hong Kong experience is completed by cocktails and snacks served in the boat’s large cabin and open air decks.

This was truly a wonderful experience. From the fun of being on the harbour to see the amazing skyline to the in the back ground and the magnificent Junk to sail on. I cannot recommend this highly enough and would say to anyone if you do nothing else on your HK trip make sure you do this. Easy to organise just get your Hotel to book it for you.

You go from Pier 9 at the Harbour, but have to buy your tickets from the Tourism office in Tsim Sha Tsui. Ask any one in the Pier and they have no idea of this though, so be prepared.
If your buying on the day I'd be inclined to give yourself at least an hour to get to ticket office and back again. We did the Tursday a.m trip. It was quiet with only 10 of us on board. It was well worth it for the experience. Aproximately a 1 hour ride and it drops you off at Tsim sha Tsui, so don't arrange to meet people back at the Pier.

It was recommended we avoid the 8pm tour when the light show is on and so we took the next evening tour. We were able to just line up and buy our tickets in the queue. The ticket included a free beverage which was a nice surprise. Our boat was not crowded and so it was lovely to sit and watch the views for an hour. Can highly recommend.

Considering how much we LOVED Aqua the bar & restaurant, we thought we would try Aqua Luna. Firstly i rated the food side low because it wasn't a food cruise we went on as we did the light show cruise.

I just wish they had a decent cocktail! Even one of those slushy cocktail machines would have been fantastic. The wine wasn't good at all. The really do cram you in as well. It is a good memory though although compare the staff to Aqua Bar & Restaurant and they seem a bit stressed here, not quite as friendly.

It was a good experience but I wouldn't do it again. Instead I would go back to Aqua at 1 Peking Rd for their amazing food and wine and views!
