Description: NOBU, the world's most acclaimed Japanese restaurant, is renowned for its innovative new-style Japanese cuisine by world famous chef Nobu Matsuhisa. One of the world’s “Hot Tables” by Conde Nast Traveler USA on its prestigious “Hot List”. NOBU InterContinental Hong Kong, showcases Nobu’s signature dishes, as well as new creations using local ingredients. NOBU InterContinental Hong Kong was designed by the Rockwell Group, who created the original NOBU in New York in 1994 and has designed many of the NOBU restaurants internationally. With panoramic views overlooking Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island, NOBU InterContinental Hong Kong features a stunning yet intimate dining room inclusive of a sushi bar. Both the bar lounge and exclusive private dining room (for up to 14 guests) also have magnificent views of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island. The design of NOBU InterContinental Hong Kong is inspired by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa's innovative cooking and the imagery of the Japanese countryside where he grew up. Traditional and modern Japanese elements, combined with the influence of water inspired by the adjacent Victoria Harbour, culminate in this intimate, yet dynamic dining experience. Food and architecture evolve into waves of movement and serenity. Key design elements within the restaurant include a unique undulating sea urchin ceiling and custom-made bamboo embedded terrazzo. At the bar, a cascade of black riverstones frames glistening imagery of Japanese cherry blossoms, a signature feature of the Nobu experience. Open daily for lunch and dinner; serves Afternoon Tea every Saturday and Sunday from 2:30-5pm.

Really enjoyed my experience at Nobu. food was delicious and well presented. Staff were friendly and attentive. The View is jaw dropping amazing of Hong Kong harbour. It's obviously pricey but worth every penny.!!

“Nobu H.K”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2014

We've been a few times with clients and it never fails to deliver. The signature black cod dish is a good one to always order. The sea-bass in chilli is also a good one. If you aren't a fish lover then there are other meat / vegetable dishes.

Actual restaurant itself is very nice and great view of the island at night. Make sure you check the dress code...

The Inter-con isn't an easy hotel to get too by foot (if you aren't use to the under-passages near the Pennisula / Sheraton then you may struggle) so it's best to get a taxi.

“Expected more”

Went to Nobu in New York and why not try it in Hong Kong? Well, don't! Very expensive and poor quality and not comparable with Nobu in NY.

A perfect night. Great food and very good service. The attention form the executive chef made it all very special and well worth the money.

“Not anymore the best Japanese restaurant in Hong Kong!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 3, 2014 via mobile

I visited Nobu during a business trip to Hong Kong, the place was recommended from a friend therefore I decided to pay a visit. Overall the ambiance is a bit dark but well designed with a good view of Central Hong Kong, service was professional but not intrusive, food ok but nothing really wow, the menu is featuring traditional Japanese dishes and several new age dishes as well. However I did not enjoyed 100% the experience! very expansive restaurant vs quality of food. The restaurant is inside the IHG hotel, facing the harbour of Hong Kong. Take the ferry from Central to Kowloon. Overall 3 out of 5.
