Description: NOBU, the world's most acclaimed Japanese restaurant, is renowned for its innovative new-style Japanese cuisine by world famous chef Nobu Matsuhisa. One of the world’s “Hot Tables” by Conde Nast Traveler USA on its prestigious “Hot List”. NOBU InterContinental Hong Kong, showcases Nobu’s signature dishes, as well as new creations using local ingredients. NOBU InterContinental Hong Kong was designed by the Rockwell Group, who created the original NOBU in New York in 1994 and has designed many of the NOBU restaurants internationally. With panoramic views overlooking Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island, NOBU InterContinental Hong Kong features a stunning yet intimate dining room inclusive of a sushi bar. Both the bar lounge and exclusive private dining room (for up to 14 guests) also have magnificent views of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island. The design of NOBU InterContinental Hong Kong is inspired by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa's innovative cooking and the imagery of the Japanese countryside where he grew up. Traditional and modern Japanese elements, combined with the influence of water inspired by the adjacent Victoria Harbour, culminate in this intimate, yet dynamic dining experience. Food and architecture evolve into waves of movement and serenity. Key design elements within the restaurant include a unique undulating sea urchin ceiling and custom-made bamboo embedded terrazzo. At the bar, a cascade of black riverstones frames glistening imagery of Japanese cherry blossoms, a signature feature of the Nobu experience. Open daily for lunch and dinner; serves Afternoon Tea every Saturday and Sunday from 2:30-5pm.

“Just go and enjoy”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

I've had the privilege of dining at NOBU while staying at the IC Hong Kong (the restaurant is in the hotel). What an amazing restaurant, I've liked it so much than today (literally) I'm going to try it out in London where I live.
The ambiance and the service is perfect, the food of an excellent quality. You can't go wrong and visit it, go with the flow and pick what you feel like eating, anything should be awesome.
The view just picture it in your mind, a unique view of HK skyline..

“Mind-blowing experience”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

Modern Japanese cuisine which scores in the thought and skills put into creating each unique dish truly worth trying. Desserts were mind-blowing and deserves a separate review. I would return just for them. Good view of the waterfront area and knowledgable service staff enhances the dining experience. Reservation is highly recommended.

“Great View, Good Service, Nice Food”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

Booking a table with NOBU couldn't have been easier--everything done within a minute on their website. They followed up INSTANTLY with an email from a lady hostess to confirm our booking, and they did notice your special request for a window seat. She said all window seats had been taken, but would bump us up should it become available.
We arrived 10 mins early and were promptly led to our table, which had a nice clear view by the glass panel albeit not exactly a window seat. We're happy with that.
The manager and the waiters were attentive and helpful when they took our drinks and food order. Everything arrived promptly although they made a mistake when they served a basket of steamed veggies which we never ordered, of which the manager was quick to spot and removed it in split second. They also forgot our order of a sushi roll but soon appeared when the manager reckoned his mistake and profusely apologised.
The special salmon sashimi starter with oil and vinegar drizzled over was refreshing and appetising; the prawn tempura was a generous portion and very delectable, even the accompanying leaves in the bowl were so good ; the spinach salad was very fresh--a nice big heap with a tangy flavourful dressing with pommery seeds; the crispy rice cubes in sticks with spicy tuna paste was so-so, with the rice cubes a bit over-fried to the point of having overly-dried edges making the rice contents less chewy. The tuna paste was rather bland. The soft shell crab roll was only average as the crab wasn't very succulent and plentiful that it didn't have the wow factor as in some other places when you see the crab bursting from the rice contents. The beef steak was a smallish portion and rather nondescript as we'd had some better versions in other Japanese restaurants, like Kiku in Landmark. The steamed vegetable- infused bass was a less than generous portion and not as tender as the misu mirin marinated panfried cod that our neighbours were having, as you can easily tell if something is succulent even without eating it because you just know when you see how it is presented. The green tea we ordered was just lukewarm and we had to repeatedly ask them to exchange for something piping hot, although they're always ready to refill your mug. When we finally asked for really hot tea, the waiter said, " Yes, it is hot as it has steam..." I quickly remarked , " having steam doesn't necessarily mean it is piping hot." To that he was smart enough to collect all our tea mugs and soon returned with a grin, two VERY hot green teas, to our satisfaction. This quick and apt response is what is called for in a top notch restaurant and in a 5 star hotel. When we suddenly found a strand of hair on the edge of our wooden table top and informed the manager, he quickly apologised; removed it and in a few seconds, returned with a damp cloth to wipe that area. Again, that gesture was well received and appreciated. So when the bill came it's nothing very cheap but it's the good, attentive and smart service plus the amazing view that are key factors why people want to come.
