Description: NOBU, the world's most acclaimed Japanese restaurant, is renowned for its innovative new-style Japanese cuisine by world famous chef Nobu Matsuhisa. One of the world’s “Hot Tables” by Conde Nast Traveler USA on its prestigious “Hot List”. NOBU InterContinental Hong Kong, showcases Nobu’s signature dishes, as well as new creations using local ingredients. NOBU InterContinental Hong Kong was designed by the Rockwell Group, who created the original NOBU in New York in 1994 and has designed many of the NOBU restaurants internationally. With panoramic views overlooking Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island, NOBU InterContinental Hong Kong features a stunning yet intimate dining room inclusive of a sushi bar. Both the bar lounge and exclusive private dining room (for up to 14 guests) also have magnificent views of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island. The design of NOBU InterContinental Hong Kong is inspired by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa's innovative cooking and the imagery of the Japanese countryside where he grew up. Traditional and modern Japanese elements, combined with the influence of water inspired by the adjacent Victoria Harbour, culminate in this intimate, yet dynamic dining experience. Food and architecture evolve into waves of movement and serenity. Key design elements within the restaurant include a unique undulating sea urchin ceiling and custom-made bamboo embedded terrazzo. At the bar, a cascade of black riverstones frames glistening imagery of Japanese cherry blossoms, a signature feature of the Nobu experience. Open daily for lunch and dinner; serves Afternoon Tea every Saturday and Sunday from 2:30-5pm.

“really expensive, but really excellent food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 18, 2013

Very expensive, but worth it for a special treat/occasion. We were here on a weekday afternoon for lunch, and had the tasting menu and one set lunch. The standard of the food was pretty up there. Perfect salads, sushi and sashimi, perfectly cooked fish, with lots of exotic flavours and spices to make it that bit more special. One tasting menu order is actually enough for two people, so unless you're ravenous you might want to just share one!

Great food, beautiful dishes, nice scenic views, restaurant not too crowdy or loud, good service. Not cheap, but worth it.

“The worse Nobu we've been”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2013

We decided to give them a second chance as Nobu is my favourite restaurant and have always had a great experience in any of the Nobus around the world we've visited. The first time we went was in 2010 for NY's eve and came disastrous - the food I mean - the place is wonderfully located and views are simply perfect, so if it hadn't been for the location, it would have ruined our entire NY’s eve. Anyway, we decided to book a normal dinner this trip and chose the Omakase Menu.
The staff was surprisingly very inexperienced, the way they handle the dishes, approach to you and explain the dishes. They didn't know the difference between the especial menu and the Omakase Menu, so we decided to go for the Omakase as we know it is never disappointing. Well, it was this time, we had such a bad night that we couldn't wait to finish to leave the place. The quality of the food, the taste and presentation were quite different from what another Nobu offers. HK$2425.50 for 2 menus, water, one cocktail and coffees.

I love Nobu, the service and food are always great. It is a place I love to take friends from out of town for the great HK skyline.
