We were happy to have visited this place, we spent a bit of money to get into the stadium itself and look around, which was worth doing, but there isn't much to do or see once you've got your set of photographs of your party standing in front of the magnificent stadium.

It was a bitterly cold winters day when we visited, and maybe that's why the place was empty, but the whole place felt as if no one quite knows what to do with this space now that the Olympics are over.

I visited tis much after the olympics, but it is well maintained as a park and is visited by tourists from China and the world over. The chinese are really proud to showcase this park as a great achievement in establishing a ckass stadium for years to come.It is well kept with adequate help to get you around and enjoy the magnitude created to host the modern day olypmpic games.

I went on around the 24th of November, and there was no fee to be paid, so I think in the off-season, I was quite lucky! It was very windy, but I was able to walk all the way up to the main stadium and Water Cube, and got some fantastic photos as well. It's a great place to be able to see Ai WeiWei's visionary masterpiece!

It was cold and windy on the day we visited the Olympic Park in Beijing. Everything was close. There is not much to see here except the spider stadium which they use for concerts and other events. It seems like the tour buses bring the tourist here to fill some time on their agenda.

The Olympic Park is a massive area, laid out for the 2010 games. Centre stage is the Birdsnest Arena. I thought 50 RMB just to walk around was a bit steep. The building is architecturally amazing but sadly underused. No cafe, very poor gift shop, but on a fine day it still remains an impressive construction. The water cube was better value, only 30RMB and you could go for a swim!. On a fine day it is a nice place for a leisurely walk, be prepared for some hard sell by the local hawkers, but it all adds to the ambience. It is easy to find as there are two subway stations, one either end of the park. An enjoyable visit.
