Service was prompt with enthusiasm. The food however was not impressive. We had the signature soup which was all right, the mixture with rice was something different. The pork belly was quite good. The jelly fish was pretty much a savory jelly. Tea was costly but tasetless. Overall it was all right but with the price like that, I expect much more.

I ate lunch here thankfully with my guide as not much English is spoken here. Food was delicious and authentic as evidenced by all the local diners. Ambiance very nice with well appointed decor. Quality of food, especially the meats very good with reasonable prices. This restaurant is located in close proximity to the Silk Market Mall just in case you are so inclined. (I did a quick walk thru and could not wait to find the nearest exit.)

Located in a dark alley plus no roman-ized characters as the signboard makes it tough to find. REcommend to enter the address on your GPS to locate this place.

Once inside the restaurant, its a beautiful chinese courtyard filled with local chinese customers (a sign of authenticity of the food). The menu has pictures hence easier for us to order - we basically tried the pork trotters, sweet and sour fish, kung po chicken and a few other side dishes - food was superb.

We were also curious on the chinese rice wine; hence ordered a bottle. Fully regret ordering as its really strong in alcoholic content. Its like drinking 60% vodka neat.

Our friend booked this restaurant on our way to the airport. The whole setting is old Beijing courtyard style, local and down to the earth decors. We have people with high blood pressure and high blood sugar, so we order something very light with few meat. The dishes met with our expectations and tasty. We were in the private room which is very quiet and comfortable. I would come again with my family to this restaurant.
