“Epic place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 19, 2012

This Restaurant is epic. Been living in Beijing for a long time and going there for dinner is the best part. The pizza's are delicious (maybe not made by italians, but still very good) and the belgian beer is top.
Please remember, this is not a 5 star luxuary restaurant, dont think you are going to get served like kings. Every time i go, there is always a lot of people, so its easy to understand that they are very busy. Even though you must wait a while to eat, you don't regret it when your food arrives. The beers arrives rapidely after you ordered.

The place is quit hard to find, like previous review said: its in an alley behind the 3.3 (a bit dark) and then a the end of the alley, you turn left. You'll have a sign on the wall.

I recommand this place for a group of friends.
Have fun. and bon appetis

“Great Beer and Pizza”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2012

Great place for Belgian Beer- superb selection. They sometimes do not bring the beer bottle to your table, so ask them to do so.

Pizza is among the best in Beijing- wood fired and always dependably good.

“Good beer, good pizza, nice respite in Beijing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2012

If you're in Beijing and tired of local food this is a good relief. The people aren't overly friendly and it's kind of expensive but if money isn't an issue and you're looking to relax, go here. The food is good and you can get heavy belgian beer. Be prepared to pay cash, they don't take credit cards, which adds to their "not very friendly" approach.

“Hard to find but worth the trip”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2012 via mobile

This restaurant is very well hidden in the Sanlitun bar area. It actually took us two trips to Nearby the Tree to figure out we were eating at the wrong Tree! To find it you need to go down a small side alley off the alley behind the 3.3 building. Turn left once you hit Smugglers and turn left again through a black iron fence. It's definitely worth the trip and the pizza is well made and well priced. I think we paid about 60 Rmb for a pizza and split it between two people. Drinks are also good here and a much calmer crowd then the Sanlitun bars just around the corner.

“One of my favorite place in Beijing for a pizza”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2012

Best pizza ever had in Beijing was at the tree. Just return again last June, and it is still the same pleasure. Have tried few others italian place for pizzas, but your are my favorite. Great job for the consistency on the pizzas. Just a little point of disappointment, the service level has decreased, too bad. Will still come back when in Beijing.
