We visited this last night for the first time. The Indian guy on the phone was very helpful in guiding us to it. When we arrived there was about 15 other Indians in there eating. Impressive for any night, never mind a Wednesday. Decided to get some specials, which I was missing in china trip(like chicken curry with bone) and it was served quickly, on a huge (colourful) plate. It was very fresh taste as home. Service was excellent, with staff managing to check on us regularly and top up our water before it went down. We were using a chinese website discount voucher that my chinese friend booked from and got special 10% discount. Dinner for six, wine for one and a side portion between us cost 310 yuan. Great value!

Came here with colleagues, after a friend's recommendation. The staff are lovely, very attentive and all truly indian. The restaurant courtyard gives it a very personal feel. Atmosphere is relaxed, food is 100% authentic. Their menu is pretty inclusive of everyone's liking, and the staff go out of their way to make sure that there's enough spice for those who like it hot, zero spice for the curry amateurs and no milk products for the lactose intolerant. They also serve an indian beer which is pretty good. I recommend the chicken in mango curry and the lamb in spinach. The side dishes were also finger-licking good.

Restaurant is in a nice location amidst several other tourist and international cuisine places. Food for 2 ad and 2kids cost around 240Yuan. THe local restaurants typically cost 120yuan for the same party size typically.

Food was OK - the kabobs werent as juicy as they should be and were a little dry. Many vegan options available if you are looking for specialty food. Vegetarian dishes were quite tasty and nice

We'd heard a lot about Masala before I visited them this evening and we'd wondered if their Butter Chicken really were as good as the reviews boasted.

Guess what? They really really are.

As we are an Indian and food that actually tastes like the Indian food that is cooked in our homes, but where others have failed, Masala have succeeded. My Malai Kofta tasted just like the creamy bhalla our makes and it's clear that the food is fresh and free of any addictive. What's more, the service is excellent and the owners very welcoming.

We'll definitely be going back!

I was recommended this restaurant by Indian friends, and was delighted to find it completely lived up to my expectations. I think this restaurant may actually serve the most authentic Indian food I have come across in Beijing - it's often hard to find somewhere that serves Thandai and khus (a special drinks for summer in india), for example, and places that serve kheer(indian rice pudding) at the end of the meal are usually few and far between.

The food was absolutely delicious - in particular the selection of street snacks that are available as starters and the tamerind chutney that was served with my hara bhara kebab. Staff were incredibly friendly and everything was good value for money. My Wife and i was very impressed and will be certainly be going back soon.
