JM Marriott Beijing has a perfect location, it's located in Huamao Center in Beijing, with some other luxury office towers and shopping malls nearby, also a lot of food choices available. Otherwhise, the transportation is also very well, you could easily access to many hotspots in town.
The lobby of the hotel is specially deserved recommendation,it's spacious and elegant with frindly staff; the breakfast buffet is rich.

When you are traveling for business in China you want to stay at a property that is both accessible to the local flavor, but provides a level of comfort and security comparable to a Western hotel destination. This hotel has it all. It is truly business luxury in the heart of China. Just a few long blocks from Tianamin Square and the Forbidden City you are greeted by a first class staff and great restaurants on the property. The staff is bilingual and happy to assist you with recommendations for dining or entertainment off property. Just a few steps away is a fantastic mall with world class stores to purchase anything you forgot. For a taste of local flavor Wangfujing outdoor shop is just a few steps away. You absolutely have to make a walk just a few blocks or you will be sorry you missed it.

Room Tip: Try the buffet on the second floor of the hotel. You will find a great mix of local and internation...

The first stops on our tour of China from Beijing to Shanghai. We stayed here just before xmas so the large lobby was decked with the spirit and the jingle bells music just added to that festive season. Reception was relatively fast given the language barrier. The room was a-m-a-z-i-n-g! Automated blinds, chique decor, clean linen, modern open bathroom and shower with complimentary cosmetics, desk with all the supplies. Room service was expensive but delicious. We were late for our morning tour and were allowed to take a breakfast take away - very sweet concierges! Didn't get much chance time to explore the hotel due to being on the tour the whole day but the room was beautiful and lux.

We had three rooms here for 4 nights on floors 20 and 23. Room rate was $395/night which included access to the executive lounge along with a phenomenal breakfast buffet down on the main floor as well as all taxes, etc.

The rooms are large, clean and tastefully decorated. Automatic curtains and shades for both the window and the an equally large window between the bedroom and the bathroom. Phones are easy to understand. Staff is very courteous and want to make you happy.

The hotel is indeed a luxury hotel. The view is average. The spa and fitness facilities are excellent. There's not much around. A mall about two blocks walking distance away.

For the reviewer who complained about accidentally leaving the DND light on, get over it. I did the same thing. I realized it was my mistake, called down to housekeeping, they had left me a message earlier fearing as such, but as soon as they got the call from me they came right away and made up the room. Find it hard to believe he/she had to wait two more days to get house keeping to make their room. Something's not right there folks.

The breakfast buffet is not $100USD as someone pointed out. I just came from there and am looking at my receipt. It's 250RMB which is 40.95USD (currently). I've had breakfast here every day and it's been the same price. The reviewer was obviously confused.

If you want luxury, first class service, good food, great bars, a "decent" view, and are willing to take a taxi to the tourist sites, this is an awesome hotel. Forbidden City, The Temple of Heaven, T-square, Silk row, etc are all within a 30 minutes ride. The Metainyu Great Wall of China is a MUST SEE. It's about an hour to 75 minutes away but the best spot to experience the wall. There's even a luge you can ride down back to the parking lot. :-) seriously.

My only complain of this JW Marriott is the internet speed. It is horrendously slow. So don't plan on doing a lot of surfing or uploading large files, etc. I even tried having a facetime conversation with my business partner and had to call back at least 10 times during a 20 minute conversation. Though the internet service sucks, and they tell you it does, it's still not enough to knock down an appropriate rating.

By the way, if you do stay on the same floor as the executive lounge (20), ask to be far away from the actual lounge. People tend to congregate for a little bit outside the entrance and the wait staff has their inventory room right next to it as well. My room was just about across the hall and there was always commotion outside my room.

Room Tip: south side doesn't have much of view. mostly industry and what looks like refinery tanks painte...

Walking inside this hotel, you know you are important. The hotel is not only for the business traveler, but great for someone who wants to vacation in Beijing and stay close to the subway, shop and do some fine dining without hurdling the traffic. The gym is excellent and the pool matches the excellence. The staff are ready to help you with anything. The restaurants are great and the food is fantastic. Look no further!

Room Tip: The SPA inside the hotel offers promotions for guests. Look inside the room for discounts.

One of the better Marriott properties, undoubtedly. Great staff, imagine you leave your tuxedos and they courier that to you all the way to Bangalore, India. That's customer service, thank you!

Don't miss the breakfast buffet, great hospitality and a very decent bar to unwind with a beer.
