I brought a local friend here for a meal. The menu is daunting: hundreds of pages of clearly described and well-photographed food. We ordered the duck (of course) plus wood-ear mushrooms and shrimp with a sweet mayonnaise-y kind of sauce. Everything was spectacular. I was a little terrified that I would be spending hundreds and hundreds of US dollars. But after the exchange rate it turns out this dinner was actually reasonably priced, given the high quality of the food, the beauty of its presentation and the beautiful surroundings. Make a reservation, and even then be prepared to wait.

This review is for DaDong restaurant across North Chao Yong Men Avenue. As we were group of 15; we had dedicated place to dine with personal wardrobe, washroom and people to serve. We all sat across large round table with inner glass top that revolved. Different varieties of food kept coming till we gave up. You need local colleague well versed in English to communicate. The meal began with serving of apricots and dry fruits. Lotus roots were tasty, radish was slightly sweet; and fried noodles were tasty too.

Nice ambience. The Peking duck is what you come here for, and it's excellent. Also, it stays open later than most restaurants in the area, and we took advantage of that. Excellent service and moderate prices.

A very crowded, very busy restaurant that serves some of the best Peking duck anywhere. Tip: don't gorge on the stuff they bring before the duck because you won't have room! All the food is good, though, so you should sample many items from the extensive menu.

You must make a reservation in advance, or you will have to wait a while as the lines form early. If you have a group, try reserving a room - they have several private rooms available.

Nice atmosphere. All the dishes we ordered were magnificent. Service was prompt and efficient. Extensive wine list at reasonable cost for China.
