Description: Authentically Chinese but in a way you never imagined. JinR is the artistic genius behind the brand, a true Beijinger, she created GREEN T. HOUSE in her vision of Chinese Contemporary T. Culture in 1997 and it has grown now to a multi-faceted lifestyle offering on the move internationally. A designer in her own right JinR is constantly commissioned for guest appearances and projects around the world. T. Cuisine and Tea were the beginnings. JinR basically was the orginator of "Modern Chinese" dining. Proud of her heritage she took Chinese cuisine to a new level with her recreations of traditional dishes and stunning presentations, still being our central experience, as she calls it "T.Spirit". Art and Retail grew in parallel as many of her friends were part of the modern local art boom and she herself designed her own unique lifestyle and homeware products for her space availabe as her own line. Leading artists continue to be exhibited in her space today and JinR's designer range is available online "GREEN T. HOUSE Living" space, a 15,000sqm complex of dining, tea, events, gardens, concerts, art and culture is a Contemporary Chinese architectural marvel. The space is one of a kind.

It is difficult to describe the Green T house. It is like a studio, with outlandish furniture, great art pieces, a bird cage in the middle and a huge white door on the street.
The food was excellent and very creative. The presentation was mind blowing. Our first course came on a platter with a vase full of live fishes. The plates were different shapes and colors for each dish. A truly unique experience.
We learnt that they are advisers for the First class menus of Swissair and Lufthansa.

The place is very nice with a pleasant art gallery but :
1. The food is just not good
2. The food is way expensive compared to what you get in your plate
3. Furnitures are so design that at the end you are not comfortable.

I don't recommand this place you have many other trendy restaurants in Beijing.

Like dining in an art gallery, every dish was a masterpiece. Presentations were fun and creative and thankfully the taste matched the visual appeal. It is not inexpensive but well worth our time and money. Staff was attentive and friendly, too. We had been told about the long communal table with the super tall, high backed chairs. I was a bit hesitant about this but it was very cool and not at all awkward being by other diners.

Wow is all I can say. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. This place is amazing--the food, the ambience, the pure luxury of it all in the middle of nowhere. Cuisine was creative without being pretentious. Everything was delicious and artfully presented. We had a party of twelve and sampled chicken, lamb, prawns, vegetables, pear appetizers, dumplings, green tea motijos, and various tea ice creams. There is simply no way to describe this melt in your mouth food--a deep fried fish that was so crispy and succulent it simply had to be tried to be believed. This husband and wife couple have created a life style experience that needs to be tried at least once in a lifetime.
