We were accommodated here for 3 nights by a tour company as the first stage of a Trans-Siberian railway trip. The hotel is obviously used by a number of Western tour groups. We were very disappointed, the hotel is a owned by a state tobacco company and has extensive meeting and conference rooms, and being in China, everyone smokes. The soft furnishings in our room smelt of smoke, and the carpets were dirty, breakfast was poor, staff had very little English and no English language maps of Beijing for guests. If we had arrived here at the end of our tour we would have insisted on being relocated to somewhere more acceptable.
There was a good massage and beauty service in the basement, I had a great leg and foot massage.More
