-this Qing's Prince residence situated a Hutong area near "Hou-hai".
-entrance fees 40RMB, most display explanation in mandarin, and the tour guide service always"out of service".
-it is shorther trip compare with Forbidden city and Summer Palace (as what i feel it is like mini-size of combination of this two).
-take any bus to "bell tower" or MRT line 2 drop at 'An ding men" than take a walk.

-if you are in thight of time, skip this place.

This place truly allow one to understand the residential positioning and size of the royal family. A huge pond with a pavilion at the end of the attraction. This site should be at least top 10. Although smaller than places like forbidden city, it's more intimate

The Prince Gong's Mansion opens from 7.30am between March and November, it's getting very popular with the Chinese tourists groups from other provinces of China, so I would advise you to get there as early as possible. Individual entrance ticket costs you 40RMB, you can buy them by turning left after you enter the front gate. Getting there in the early morning means that you can enjoy the bulidings and the garden all by yourself without the noisy tourist groups disturbing you. The place starts to get quite busy after 9am, so if you want to enjoy the peace of the great mansion and learn the intersting history of the building, be there early.

Gong Wang Fu offers more than I had expected, there are various exhibitions inside about the life of princes who do not live in the Forbidden City during the Qing dynasty and other very interesting and informative exhibitions. Remember to visit the gardens at the back and the side halls.

It is interesting to read about this place, where the eunuch who built it was sentenced to death. The scale is smaller than summer palace and the other to destinations, but still worth a visit and wander if you have done all the other stuff. Go and buy a wooden plaque and write your wish, and tie it in front of the dragon temple!
