Extremely crowded, not enjoying it at all. I guess it could be extremely beautiful at 6am, when probably there are not so many tourists.

The Summer Palace has much to offer, but this is the highlight. It is an amazing structure in size, beauty and with artistic merit and a story behind every panel. We felt honored to walk the length of it.
This is a lovely corridor for easy walking, shaded area by the lake and hundreds (if not thousands) of Chinese painting to observe.
Great experience. The long corridor and the beautiful painting. The stone boat is a fantastic curiosity.
The locals sit here playing cards, cat napping, socialising,we walked along here for 30 minutes,in the shade viewing the lake side, great for photos, food is availible, boat hire, enjoy an hour or two here, but a few days would be better to see it all.
Walking the long corridor with the helpful audio guide made for a refreshing afternoon on a hot, hot Beijing day. The corridor’s art work is wondrous and ambling along surrounded by art with a gentle breeze from the lake made for a memorable experience
