The long corridor is actually VERY long! Like 1 mile. Its covered in like 4000 paintings of places around the world. Very busy with people but a must see.

Was interesting to walk along the old corridor initially but got repetitive after a while. Lots of visitors taking their meals breaks along the corridor.

This is part of touring the grounds at the Summer Palace. Unfortunately, it was packed with people because it was a hot afternoon when we visited. But what you're looking at is covering your head. Many stories depicted as paintings that line the entire length of the corridor. I don't recall the actual length, but would estimate it's at least 1/4 mile long!

It was nice walking under the roof covered long corridor. I enjoyed viewing its paintings on the upper side walls, and getting out of the baking 36C sunshine. The corridor is much, much longer than I had anticipated.

I never knew you could have 8000 watercolor paintings in one place. The whole palace is amazing, from the Imperial Theater to the lake and pagoda.
