“Attentive Service & Delicious Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2014

We ate here with friends recently and loved the contemporary atmosphere in the restaurant. The wait staff was very friendly and welcoming. We really liked the decor of the restaurant; the crockery etc. and the presentation of the food was also great. An extensive list of wine, beer and cocktails is offered but the star was without doubt the food - it was delicious! The duck was succulent and the accompanying condiments were plentiful. This restaurant would not be out of place in London or Paris and as such does not have the ceremony attached to the serving of the duck or that local flavour that can be found in other restaurants in Beijing. The whole meal was excellent value and I'm sure we'll return.

“Great Duck”

The food there is amazing! The decoration of the restaurant is very chic and modern, just like Opposite House. The service there is friendly and very attentive.

“First class Chinese restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2014 via mobile

Well worth looking for - located in the cellar of Opposite House, San litun. No windows but nice decorated big room with view into the kitchen and Beijing duck grill. The duck was terrific like all the other dishes we had. Very friendly and fast service, good English speaking. Long wine list, prices from 375 RMB to several 1000. I will surely return.

“Best Duck in Beijing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2014

"Da Dong" and "Duch de Chine" dominate the spotlight when it comes to Peking Duck. However, the duck at Jing Yaa Tang is the best in Beijing in my opinion.

I am a huge fan of duck meat, and this is by far the place I am going to have my duck here in Beijing. The meat is so succulent and delicious.

A word of caution though, make sure you call before you go and order your duck. We went there during the Chinese New Year and luckily we were able to get some duck, but were told that it is better to call in before hand to make sure they prepare it.

“If only this restaurant was in Boston!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2014

We had Peking Duck 3 times on our trip to China, and this was the best hands (or webbed feet) down. Succulent, not fatty, and lovely accompaniments made this simply perfection. We also liked the fact that we could order a half duck for the two of us, leaving room to try some of the other specialties. The wine-list was one of the best we saw in nearly 3 weeks in China (with some relative "bargains" for China.)

Frank Bruni had written this up in The New York Times in October 2013. Remember, he used to be the main food critic for the Times. What a find. (Can we go back next week?)
