We spent several nights here with friends as part of an organised 6 day itinery and prelude to a cruise around South East Asia. Our first stop was Bejing and this was interspersed with a visit to Xian on the overnight train (to see the Terracotta Army which was fantastic!) The staff were helpful enough considering the language barrier but the best thing was by far the breakfast! This was great with fantastic Eurasian mix enabling everyone to try a little but still have the usual stuff if you weren't in the mood.
The rooms were clean, tidy and big enough for a short stay. There was also a cosy Bar in the hotel although I believe it was usual tourist prices!
The hotel was minutes away from the well known Street Market offering fried scorpions and Dog Pot!? We didn't partake but it was definitely the best market I've ever been to! The hotel was also perfectly based for Tiannamen square, forbidden city, Summer Palace, Great Wall and many more.More
