“A hidden gem”
Reviewed August 14, 2014

The location is not convenient at all. We took a taxi to the restaurant but the driver kept missing the entrance. When we left, we were unable to find a taxi. Despite the inconvenient location, we find this restaurant a hidden gem. The building is really nice - a bit too dark inside the restaurant but generally great for a date. Food is amazing - the "pork neck slices" and the "shrimp sauce aubergines" are my favourites! We will definitely come back again!

“not as good as the Shanghai versions”
Reviewed August 6, 2014

Come here for the decor and area, but the food is only mediocre. The main problem with the food at the restaurant was a huge variance in the seasoning, some dished came out way too salty and others had no salt whatsoever. However, this may just be a Western palate situation as my girlfriend said the food tasted just fine.

“Super food, best from my trip to China.”
Reviewed August 6, 2014 via mobile

Chain with several properties. Tried to eat in Shanghai but closed at 10.00 so we could not get in. This time and to Beijing we came earlier and had a great experience.

One of the few design oriented restaurants u will find in the country. The food is above the average, not greasy, but expect garlic. We did not enjoy only the rice cakes, but the honey pork ribs was top.

Stunned with the atmosphere and u won't pay much, around 150 y per person which is incredible for such a place. You would pay in a upscale restaurant in Europe or USA around 70 usd per person.

“Full of flavour”

Charming decor and wide menu. Quick service and friendly service. Reservations are advisable. From all we tried, cod cooked with yunnan herbs was the best. Also try their specialty cocktails.

“Wonderful food”
Reviewed July 13, 2014

The food at Lost Heaven was excellent and the wine list is good and not too badly priced.

Had the sliced pork which was absolutely amazing with a great spicy sauce to dip it in, as well as some spicy chicken with green leeks and some spicy tofu.

Everything had deep balanced flavors and the service was impeccable.
