We have stayed in this hotel for 9 days in June 2014, we have actually booked another hotel but when we reached Beijing, that hotel was not upto the standard as it was on websites, so we cancelled our room and reached Kingrand which was out second choice, it made our trip best spot to stay. location is abit dodgy for taxi drivers otherwise it is very very close to a 5 star hotel.

Room Tip: try to get the hotel chinese adress writte in big font, this will help you while hiring a taxi for h...

Outstanding, First Class, Comfortable, Clean and Beautiful! Concierge, Henry Li made our stay so enjoyable and meet our needs especially when we were late checking out due to our Taxi driver getting us very lost while returning to the hotel from an excursion. Henry was able to extend our check out time w/o any hassles as he and his manager understood the issue of some Taxi drivers finding their hotel. Off the main road, the hotel can be difficult to find. Hint: Note of interest would be to look for a pedestrian bridge that has some kind of formula décor on its side on Zhushikou Street West and turn south there. You'll go thru a street that is remnant of Old Beijing and then the hotel is at the end of a very quiet and lovely area. The hotel has airport transfers but you must contact them to arrange either by phone or email at kingrandconcierge@163.com. We took advantage of this and altho pricier than taxis, it was a treat to be greeted at the airport and "chauffeured" to Kingrand.

We didn't opt for the breakfast package so can't comment on this. Would've loved to stay longer but had to move on. We'll be back!

The Kingrand is a beautifully newly renovated hotel. The rooms are huge as are the bathrooms with separate showers, toilets & glass enclosed tubs. The bedding is luxurious as is the decor. Try for a room with a courtyard view. They serve an excellent buffet breakfast & dinner with a huge assortment of Western choices along with Oriental fare. It is located within walking distance of shopping & Tiananmen Square and a wonderful location for exploring Beijing.

Room Tip: Ask for a courtyard view room.

We spent 4 nights in this hotel, the location makes all major attractions accessible (Which is saying something for a city with 6.5 million CARS.....)The hotel itself is beautiful - the rooms were wonderful, comfortable, clean and first class. The service was very very good. The lounge area is both lovely and provides Indoor AND outdoor seating. Which is nice on those rare clear days. The indoor swimming pool is also excellent. The restaurant provides more than enough for their breakfast buffet and has a decent dinner menu.

We booked this hotel based on a tip from friends who had recently been to China. We were not disappointed. It's in a great location about a 15 minute walk to Tiananmen Square. The room we had was massive looking out on the courtyard with a large bathroom. The staff in the hotel are very friendly and helpful. We had the buffet breakfast a couple of days (try and get this included in your rate) which was lovely. We also went to the pool one day which was nice and they have a gym (take a swim hat as this is often needed in China)
One point I would make about Beijing is that it can be very hard to get a Taxi on the street - Uber just launched in the city though.

This was a recommendation from friends and it lived up to expectations.

Very modern, comfortable spacious rooms, good breakfast, beautiful pool/gym complex, friendly helpful staff and great location (10 mins walk down a pedestrianised shopping street to Tiannamen Square.

Toured China for a month and this was one of our best hotel experiences.

Good deals to be had on the travel sites.

The Kingrand was recommended by friends who came out to China last year so we decide to base ourselves here for our tour of Beijing. The hotel is set back from the Main Road which in Beijing makes a huge difference due to traffics noise and the constant use of the horn that drivers here seem to have adopted. The entrance hall is lovely with a great water feature. The double twin room was well laid out, modern and well maintained. Not much of a view from our room but this was no drawback, the views are in the city. Staff we're helpful and friendly, good standard of English generally. Good selection at Buffett breakfast (lunches and dinners were eaten out). On the whole, I really liked the Kingrand and would recommend and stay again in the future.
