Learn to barter and walk the stalls prior to buying...what may be 120 yuan in one stall is 60yuan in other !

I had this trip organised by the hotel that I stayed when I am in Beijing. The tour was collecting the visitors to Great wall from their hotel and we go may be one and half an hour and on the way we stop for lunch to eat something. I had several friends from all over world was realy nice to have fun together. It was winter when we went there snow was around and the weather was cold and makes it more nice. The Great Wall is some very unique building which should be seen. can not imagine how that long wall built and still standing many parts of it.and around is clean air and pure nature.

Didn't end in disappointment. Go there! My only reservation is over the hawkers posing as market sellers. Beware the scams and know your exchange rates before falling for the "one dollar" lead-in. Having said that, I enjoyed bargaining over a few items of interest.

This was an excellent experience and highly recommended. Wear walking shoes. Take cable car up (not chairlift) and toboggan down (so wrong but so right!). We also had lunch afterwards at The Schoolhouse which was fantastic.
