“Absolutely awful experience”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 17, 2013

I travel in Asia alot and have never experienced this kind of harassment. Absolutely awful experience and one I would not recommend. Items can be bought cheaper and with far less aggressive behavior. Unfortunately with the bus loads of tourists being dropped there I doubt much will change. Very disappointing.

“Bargain Hard and you can get Bargain Galore”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2013

Thoroughly enjoyed coming to this market and bought a lot of stuff. At really cheap prices. We walked in to a shop selling business shirts . they started off by asking 1200RMB for a shirt and eventually after much bargaining came down to 40RMB. Once you know the tricks then you are in for a good time. I bought a couple of bags for the girls at home and was asked to pay 2500RMB each for the bags however I paid no more than 150RMB each. if you enjoy bargaining then this is the place for you . There are times they will tell you that you are bad and your making them lose money ect but its all part of the game and in good fun so don't take it too seriously. Decide what you want to pay for the item and then haggle your way up to that price. There are certainly many bargains to be found here and it all depends on if you are prepared to haggle. the quality of the products bought were fine as we have been using our items for a while now and have had no problems with the goods bought.

There was food available however mainly sit down restaurants . this place would benefit having a food court type set up where people can eat on the run and get their shopping done.

“Waste of time”

Terrible place to visit. Waste of time. Horrible fakes and bargaining gets on your nerves. Go and shop in other parts of the city where you will find good stuff and not be ripped off.

“We had a good time and enjoyed the craic!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 10, 2013

All four of us myself, my husband and two daughters 9 and 11 all enjoyed haggling! We all bought some things including a watch for 3 of us, a silk dressing gown, a backpack and a few pairs of trainers. We got what we paid for which wasn't much! Not sure about the watches but the rest are all pretty good. It was a good laugh. We just ignored the pushy sales people and enjoyed the craic!

“Skip this and go to ya show”

This market is really full on the the haggling is a drama. Go to Yashow, same if not better stuff, better prices and a more enjoyable experience.
