Reviewed January 27, 2013

We went here on a lovely late November morning no smog it is peaceful to walk around with a lovely lake to sit and have a chat or just sit quietly ,on your walk around the park you will come across the locals doing there morning exercises join in at the back you might get some strange looks but you will also get plenty of smiles it harder than it looks but great fun. There are some lovely buildings to look on your wander round a peaceful setting in such a busy city worth a visit.

“Some fun things for kids”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

My kids liked the mini amusement rides like cars and boats and planes. It wasn't very expensive and it's a quiet place. The other intriguing thing about Ritan is the ritual sacrifice areas. My kids didn't understand what that was all about, bu I could kind of imagine the animals on fire.

Locate at a middle of embassy area, about 10 min walk from Xi Shui silk market. Nice small park to escape bustle of city. At park also have climbing wall as well as bouldering wall. No entrance fee!

“Ritan Park”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

The park is nice, but a little small. It's a good place for locals to take their children. There was restoration work happening on the main archaeological structure. So without seeing that the park was nothing more than just a nice, small park.

“One of the genuine pleasures of Beijing”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

The first public space I ever visited in Beijing, a great escape from the noise and hassle of the city. Come early on a weekend morning to see singing, dancing, tai qi and other manifestations of the Chinese at rest and play. Stone boat restaurant/bar on the lake is a pleasant stop-off for a beer and a light snack.
