“Good Hotel But very hard bed”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2012

Recently stayed at this hotel on a business trip. The Hotel itself is very clean and the staff are very helpful. Most of the staff seem to speak reasonable English that I spoke to. Room wise these are very clean but the beds are seriously hard.

This hotel is good value, prices are respectable and amenities are above average for the price range. However, our room many stains on the carpet and housekeeping did not clean the tea cups every day. The staff is friendly and their level of spoken English is good. The location is a little out of the centre and the metro station is a good 10min walk away. In conclusion: it's good value!

I stayed at this hotel for 8 nights with my tour. The size of the room is good and comfortable. The housekeepers keeps the room nice and clean. Free WIFI only avaliable in lobby. Don't bother to try the resturant in main floor if you have chances to go out.

Room Tip: Ask for highest level.

The beds were so hard that our backs hurt even with addition of quilts on top of the very hard mattress. Was like sleeping on wooden floor boards.
Waitresses at the breakfast cafe were rude and as the hotel caters for tour groups, if you are late, you don't get any seats. Food was also insufficient once the tour groups have eaten and you come after the masses have left at 8.30 am

pretty much agree with DaGuai and Thornhill.
Rooms are clean and comfortable.
Hallways are dim as blown light bulbs are not replaced.
There is no decent restaurant or tourist-worthwhile shops within 15 min walking distance. However, restaurants within the hotel are OK. Large shopping centres are about two km (one subway station) away. Breakfast menu doesn't change and are oriental-based. If tour groups are in town, they can get very very busy and there aren't enought table, chair or cutleries. Families would have to be split up and I have seen many eating breakfast standing up. Otherwise nice hotel.

I stayed in Jade Palace Hotel Beijing for a week. The hotel was close to two subway stations, Zhichunli and Zhichunlu, of Line 10. The former was closer to the hotel, which was about 5 minute walk. The hotel breakfast had good selections of Chinese and western food. However, the breakfast did have its rush hour between 6:30 and 7:50 am as many tourist groups tried to finish their breakfast by 8:00 am before getting on their tour buses. When I wasn’t in a rush, I certainly enjoyed your breakfast after 8 am. There was a Walmart near the hotel and very close to the Zhichunlu subway station. The hotel room I stayed in was a deluxe room with a king bed. The room was spacious and very clean. There were ashtrays in the room, but no bad smells. Free wireless network was available in the room, but the connection sometimes wasn’t that stable. The soundproof insulation of the room wasn’t 100%, especially when I had jetlag and hardly went into sleep. The service people in the hotel were friendly and courtesy and made my stay comfortable. Overall, I enjoyed my stay in this hotel.

Stayed at this hotel for 8 nights as part of a Beijing tour. Location is great since it is close to two subway stations, one within 5 minutes of walking distance. Decent size room and clean. Small complaint is the sliding door into the bathroom that is difficult to open on either side.
Breakfast is nice with mix of Chinese and Western style food. But it cannot handle the crowd when everybody from the tour tries to eat and run at the same time. Lineups are usually long for the omelettes, noodles and congees. Someday, the pastries taste like from day old. Good amenities with on-site massage, karoke, swimming pool, gym etc.

Room Tip: Be there early to get a table for breakfast.
