But one thing just irked me so much I had to write this review.
They have the attractive Four Points Best Brews ad, come taste these great beers!
The lobby bar staff had no idea what I was talking about. I had to walk them to the poster and ask, where those great beers are. Well, apparently only available outside at a barbeque spot (it was raining, so it's closed).
Ok, I'd just have an ordinary Carlsberg draft then, from their drink list. Sorry sir, not available.
Ok, an ordinary Tsingtao draft then. Yes sir. Well the taste of the Tsingtao was foul, probably uncleaned tap and pipes or a bad production batch. I almost sent it back.
Ok, let's try a German bottled Warsteiner next. Sorry sir, not available.
Ok, Kronenbourg. Sorry sir, not available.
Ok, Singha. Sorry sir, not available.
So why do you have all those on your drink list, and what do you actually HAVE?? Only small bottles of the most bland, ordinary mass market beers, apparently.
"Best Brews"... Not!!!
By the way, this must be like the fourth or fifth time this happened to me at various Four Points I have visited, gullible for the "great brews" ad, while the staff apparently couldn't care less about beer quality, or about keeping a stock of the items that are on the drink list... :-(
This is not an issue for non-beer drinkers though!
Otherwise the hotel is ok, if you don't mind the relatively remote location.
