“The best pace to see the Forbidden city bigness”
Reviewed November 15, 2012

It is a nice park.. easy to find... but the most important it is the perfect spot to have a 360 views of Central Beijing. From there you can see how big and atonish the Forbidden city really is.

“Great Stop”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

It is just north of the Forbidden City, so if you start your day at Qianmen (Front Gate), walk around Tiananmen Square, then enter the Forbidden City at it's north end, you can walk out the back end (north end) of the Forbidden City and head straight here. It offers great views of Beijing - depending on the thickness of the smog. Visibility can be as little as 1/4mi on the smoggiest of days, but in May or September, with the air changing for the seasons, the air is dramatically cleaner and you may even see the mountains in the distance. Regardless of the views of Beijing, it's still a beautiful hill and offers places to sit with various pagodas. Best in May.

“Best Beijing views for only 2RMB!”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

This park is known for the unique views of the vity of Beijing.
China's capital has a flat and huge extension, but you can have a look from the top of this lonely hill in the middle of the city and enjoy this views for only 2RMB, about 0,20€/$cent so this is a must to visit!

Wait for a clear sky day, if not, the fog or the mist couldn't let you enjoy more than the back door of the forbidden city.

“Must walk up there”
Reviewed November 9, 2012

Gives you a superb view of the Forbidden City. Good exercise for the legs too! We did this after our whole tour of the Forbidden City. Then we walked down and had a nice stop at a bench to rest for a while before going on with our private tour with the private guide provided by Catherine Lu Tours.
