“on a clear day....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2012

On a clear day, this park affords you the best view of the forbidden city. unfortunately on a smoggy day, the climb to the top is merely exhausting with no benefit. The park itself is lovely

“Climb to the top, well worth the view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2012

Awesome view of the forbidden city and far off in the distance you can see Tian'amen Square. I would recommend doing this either right after or right before you visit the Forbidden City, as the view gives a great persepctive.

“Beautiful views and very relaxing......once you get to the top”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2012

This was a beautiful park and was very cheap to get in. There is a lovely pagoda at the top of the hill where we listened to local people singing and playing instruments. There was also an elderly man who was doing the most beautiful calligraphy for tourists. It is a nice and quiet area - away from the hustle and bustle of Beijing - with gorgeous views. It's a bit of a trek to the top but well worth it.

“Traditional Pagodas, fabulous views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2012

The park is fabulous and has an authentic tea house at the bottom of the staircase to the center of the city pagoda. The earlier in the morning you visit the better as many tourists make the trek later in the day. The best days to visit are when the smog is at a minimum as you can see as far as the hills in one direction and over the Forbidden City to the beautiful drum tower in the other.
