This excellent Chinese restaurant is situated in Apple Store Mall on the 6th floor and it is open till 22:00 pm, but you can't enter after 21 pm and they also have a break between 14:30 and 16:00.I am not quite sure about the break, try to check this info. We've been there twice during our stay in Beijing. First that you need to do is to take a number from a hostess and wait about 20 or 30 minutes in a line, your number will be shown on a monitor. When you see your number, you need to go to the hostess the second time, she'll give you your table's number.
They have English menu with pictures, it is a big plus. In our two visits we've tried:
Noodles. 18 rnb. Delicious. Nothing to say more.
Kung pao chicken, 19 rnb
Mapo tofu,3 rnb(!). Personally I didn't like this dish cause of Sichuan pepper, but if you like it, try it!
Scallops (8 rnb each)
Cucumber salad - the best I've tried in China, they are not crunchy, but sauce is really tasty.
Grilled eggplant.
Our visits cost us 73 first time and 74 second time for two persons with beer and non alcoholic drink. As I read later, they also have free tea station with self service.
I highly recommend this place!

“Fantastic cheap local food”
Reviewed 3 weeks ago via mobile

We visited grandma's home twice during our stay in Beijing because it was SO good. There were so many dishes on the menu that we wanted to try. Everything was also surprisingly cheap considering the quality and portion size. It gets very busy so try go at opening or closing to avoid the queues but I am sure they would move quickly. The sticky pork and the garlic prawns are a must and the fried rice had plenty of flavour. You can't go wrong with this local gem. Definitely recommended

“Homecook local food”

Worth the wait. It is popular among the locals. They have an English menu with pictures inside the restaurant. Local cuisine but very tasty. Prices are so worthwhile.

“Worth the wait! Amazing food.”
Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Let me level set your expectations from other reviewers that refer to the restaurant being loud and service being poor. You are in China at family style Chinese restaurant. Family style Chinese restaurants are loud. If you are going to China expecting the best service in the world, you are going to be disappointed. Go for the food and experience.
Prices here are very inexpensive. Several tofu dishes(mao pao tofu) are only $3 RMB. We ordered:
• Ma Pao Tofu – spicy but delicious
• Fish in Chili Oil – this dish was amazing. Hot in temperature mildly spicy and our favorite.
• Sweet & Sour Chicken – many tables were ordering. Great; our boys loved it.
• Spicy Green Beans – a must try; was made very well
• Shrimp and Garlic – this was ok, a bit oily
Located at the top level of the APM shopping center. Expect a long wait; we went at 6:30pm and waited about 30 minutes. They do not sell bottled water but do not care if you bring your own. Tea is included but you need to help yourself at the tea station. Perfect for a family dinner with kids. We look forward to returning as soon as possible

“Best Chinese ever”
Reviewed 4 weeks ago via mobile

I have travelled to China for 12 years and never had this good Chinese food ever. Tasty and quick and very cheap. Had to wait a bit but not too long. Will go back.
