Wow, it was my best experience in Beijing!!! It's amazing to see all those people making their offerings, the smell of incense, the buildings and all those statues. A must see!!!

Very nice temple with a lot of colours and a peaceful atmosphere. Quite cheap compared to other sites in Beijing and also not that big, it's definitely doable in two hours. We would definitely recommend it!

Convenient parking, right near the main gate unlike many other Chinese destinations makes it a comfortable place to visit.

Being one of the oldest Buddhist Temples and functional, the aromas of the incense, the long heritage and spiritual relevance, make this temple a must visit when in Beijing.

The stunning 26m tall statue of the Maitreya Buddha carved from a single piece of White Sandalwood is included in the Guinness Book of Records.

The three bronze statues of the Buddhas of the Three Ages and the Five-Hundred-Arhat-Hill are also very captivating.

We would also like to highly recommend a Buddhist vegetarian restaurant, adjacent to the temple.

This was such a pleasure to go round, there was a calmness in the air. The temple was very interesting, however there was limited information written in English. Fortunately, one of my colleagues understood the Buddism so could explain who all the icons etc were. The temple was impeccably clean and well organised.
