Location slightly off track for a tourist but should be ok for long term resident. Good gym. Good bfast, they even offer take-out option. Free wifi. Very, very, good eatery opposite with room delivery.
Half glass door on way to lift on ground floor should be marked for visibility especially for new guests. We nearly walked into it on check-in. Gave feedback to one of the hotel staff called Alice but nothing was done as at when we checked out.

In this trip, I was upgraded and I got a 100 sqm two bedrooms appartment at the price of a regular hotel room. The view on Beijing towers was very nice with many windows giving in many directions. This hotel is adapted for families and for long stays. There is a small kitchen with all the equipment but unfortunately I was not even able to use all the available equipment and features. The location is not great but it is not too far from the subway (10 to 15 minutes walk). Breakfast is included in the price and is rather acceptable. Although it is considered as five stars hotel, ... it is surely not.

American Family of 4. Spent 4 days in Beijing. Excellent service, spacious western styled rooms and furnishing. Great pool for unwinding after whole day of sight seeing. Perfect location near CBD. I hope to use the hotel again when I visit next. This is not meant to be a 5 star hotel with all the ostentatious furnishing & trappings. It is just a very nice comfortable place that makes you feel like home!

This is a good value serviced apartment in Beijing. At first you think it is in the middle of nowhere but in reality it is right in the middle of the action and right beside an MTR station. There are good restaurants and shopping close by (famous Silk Market easy walk) and the rooms are huge.

We had a 3 bedroom apartment which was good for myself and 2 sisters, one brother and my mother. The roll out bed for one adult was a bit hard (but aren't they all) but there was lots of room for it in the biggest bedroom. The beds are hard but this is typical of hotels especially in China.

Sure the place is a bit tired but it was not expensive so it was priced appropriately. The housekeeping was slightly random as to whether or not we would get the right number of towels, coffee restocked and we often had to search out the maid. The pool is nice but there was no hot water in the shower area when we were there (maintenance). Gym goo too.

The onsite travel people are Ok to use but a warning - the van we got one day only had lap belt (dangerous things) and the driver either had his window down in the smog and traffic jam or the radio blaring which was inappropriate for the price we paid for the day trip to the Great Wall with a guide. We had to keep asking him to put the window up (they want to save money by not running the air conditioning I suspect). They expected a tip and did not get one and we usually did tip taxi drivers.

Room Tip: Just get an apartment to suit the number of travellers. Plenty of room for roll out bed in the main...

I've have decided to booked Ascott Beijing after doing few research via tripadvisor. I booked for 1 unit with 2 bedroom executive with an extra bed. Upon checked in, the staff have offered us an upgrade room without any charges. Instead of two bedroom, she had offered me 3 bedroom unit. I was really pleasant with the offer that she had given to us. The facilities in the apartment is really complete. Stove, fridge, dining table, washing machine, iron, iron board and huge living area for you to spend some quality time with your family members. The magnificent view during the night time really amazing! You can find local food and Italian restaurant nearby the apartment. Convenient store is just few steps away from the property. The subway is just nearby. Is a good location to travel around. Would highly recommend for family trip to stay here!

There are few areas that disappointed as ascott group member:
1)Stayed 4 nights, being free upgraded from 2 bedroom to 3 bedroom due to fully booked in the property.when we entered the room 712,surprising that someone is in..feel embarassed.its the receptionist and system fault...reassigned us to 813...swipe the card several times couldnt open..had to go lobby again...so fed up!

2)During check in,i spotted their booking with different price..its higher than ours, queried the receptionist.the price i got is member year end sale.the one the hotel got is member flash sale. And again system not updated.Offer free additional 2 adults breakfast throughout the stay.

Ascott beijing, what is wrong with your system!!!!!

Other than that,had a pleasant stay.the 3 bedroom is huge...from living room,bedrooms to kitchen.

We chose Ascott Beijing for the proximity to our nephew living in Beijing. The apartment was great with plenty of room, kitchen, laundry. We were able to walk to our nephew's apartment, Silk Market, Forbidden City, although we did catch the underground home as we were very tired after a whole day out. Walmart was a 15 minute walk down the road and over the overpass. Annies restaurant was used a few times which is located just over the road. Would recommend Ascott for familes, group of friends.
