There is nothing wrong with this hotel. Service is just great, the rooms are large and comfortable and the location is very good. Excellent restaurants and shopping are nearby. Highly recommend to all.

Room Tip: I had the premium room which was just great.

A really extravagant and luxurious hotel. Plenty of staff and very expensive. They had staff for everything. One persons job was to press down elevators so there will always be one available when you came to the lobby, another person's job was to open the automatic doors! When you approached, he took a step forward so the door would be open before you came near...

I have traveled to this hotel in the past on business trips to Beijing and continue to return. It is very near the subway and quick taxi rides from sites. We had great help from the concierge desk to book airport transfers and get print outs of maps and addresses of places we were going. As a member of their rewards program, the check-in was very efficient as well, being directed past the check-in desk and straight to my room to take care of such matters. It was really efficient. The internet in room and breakfast buffet were included in my room rate. I wish I could have gotten wireless, but the LAN worked just as well. Breakfast was really good - pretty much anything you could want. Hotel staff were courteous throughout my stay and I will definitely go back.

I have been a regular guest of The China World Hotel, possibly twice a year over the last decade..........Located approximately thirty minutes from the airport and ten more from the hub of downtown Beijing. The hotel on my first visit was built in an area of Hutongs and old buildings, but over the years has stood as an icon for developement and is central now in an area of immense progress and hotels and top named fashion shops as its neighbours. It has its own convention centre and multilevel of shops on sight. If the weather is foul you have everything at your finger tips and do not need to go beyond the hotel complex............

The entrance is by way of a high ramp road that curves around to the entrance doors and rotunda opening into a palatial open lobby decorated with exquisite taste, check in is to one of many desks located here or if you belong to the hotel chain (Shangrila Group) as a member of their Golden Circle club your check in will be the club floor. The appointments of the lobby to the elevators are awe inspiring with sparkling chandeliers and immaculately dressed staff everywhere.

Security is everywhere for the safety of guests or for their assistance. The choice of restaurants is immense and my choice is their main coffee shop, that on a Friday evening becomes the best seafood buffet in town. The quantity is plentiful and with an excellent wine list and attentive service this is where you will find me.The hotel offers its own Privilege Diners card that comes with an array of upgrade and discount vouchers and the offer for two people to dine for the price of one,and lesser percentages for up to six guests. Its a fabulous deal and worth the yearly fee if you are a regular guest

Rooms are larger than most in the capital and nicely fitted out with attention to detail and very attentive floor staff who jump to attention when you press your butler
button.Everything seems to be done right and in ten years as a guest I can only offer them my compliments. There is an enormous variety of suites and junior suites suited to the lady executive traveling alone and for the rest off us who take travel as part of our working day.

The main meeting area is the ground floor lobby appointed as a grand room for afternoon tea and cocktails, snacks and much more, usually there is a live ochestra lulling one into a sense of peaceful relaxation playing loads of Classical Music whilst you meet with friends or a loved one. There are so many options within the hotel to meet and to eat that life will never be boring here...........................................

Fabulous in every respect and well worth the price which is very reasonable for such high standards, book on line for discount offers or through the many sites in your home country. The hotel is huge so the chance of it being full is very slim unless there is a convention on site.Well worth a stay.I am never disappointed as the service remains five stars.....

Room Tip: Go on line direct to the hotel website for the best deals or contact directly by phone.........

If you are going to Beijing I recommend this hotel. Could not fault service, standard of rooms and food. A few minutes walk to Silk Rd Markets (hint only pay what you are comfortable with at markets. Do not be scared to offer low prices. I bartered a suitcase down from 4000 yuan to 700 yuan) Great views of the unique CCTV building and has a shopping mall and ice skating rink underneath hotel!!!!. As in any foreign speaking country ask for a hotel business card from English speaking reception staff to give to taxi drivers so you can always find your way back to hotel. Went to Hutong area and Great Wall at Badaling but missed so much during my 5 day stay as I was on business. Want to go back and will stay at this hotel again.
