From the moment you enter the St Regis, you feel like in a calm oasis in bustling Beijing. The hotel is modern, rooms are spacious and service is truly five star. Whenever you need something, staff would be ready to help you. This is for example especially helpful when support is needed to instruct taxi drivers where to go or for restaurant reservations.
There are a couple of restaurants in the hotel, and food is good though pricy.
The hotel is centrally located, a good 20 minute walk to the Forbidden City if you'd like to save the cheap cab ride.
I can certainly recommend the place for both business people and leisure travellers.
If I really had to find something, it is the fact that wireless connection is not included in the room price (which unfortunately still holds true for other hotels of this class as well).
